Stevens Community Medical Center (SCMC) is a 25-bed critical access hospital, fully-integrated, healthcare delivery system located in Morris, MN. that provides a broad array of medical, surgical and mental health services. SCMC has a full-service clinic on-site and also a satellite clinic located in Starbuck, Minnesota. Among the services at SCMC they provide an Urgent Care, a behavioral medicine

clinic, eye clinic, physical therapy (NovaCare Rehabilitation), infusion therapy, and many more specialty services. SCMC is also home to the Courage Cottage, a 5-bed ‘home away from home’ for specialized care. There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income. SCMC thrives on patient-centered care and operates as a non-profit 501(c)(3).

🚧Road Closure Notice 🚧
Road construction will take place on Columbia Avenue in front of the Emergency Room parking lot entrance on Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19. Intermittent timing of this is TBD by construction crews. What we know:
• Thursday: Asphalt removal is expected to cause only a brief disruption (approximately 15 minutes).
• Friday: New asphalt will be installed, and the ER parking lot entrance will be CLOSED for 1–2 hours.
⚠️During the temporary closure on Friday, patients and visitors should use the Main Clinic Entrance.
📢In the event of a medical emergency, access to the Emergency Room will remain available via the driveway alongside the ambulance garage. Temporary signage will be posted to direct traffic.

Please use caution and watch for vehicles traveling in both directions in this area. We appreciate your patience.

SCMC Starbuck Clinic is proud to sponsor the Miss Minnewaska Fun Run — happening Friday, July 3, during Starbuck Heritage Days! 🎉

👟Kids' run promoting healthy, active fun.

🎉 First 50 kids get a swag bag!

Children ages 14 and under are able to participate in a ½ mile or 1 mile race. Cost is $15 (All proceeds go to Starbuck Heritage Days planning)

🌿 Support SCMC Courage Cottage mission. Celebrating 25 years in 2026!🌿

The Courage Cottage is more than a building—it’s a cozy little home on the corner filled with comfort, compassion, and dignity for those needing assisted living in their final chapter. 💜

Since its opening in 2001, the SCMC Courage Cottage has stood as a heartfelt tribute to compassionate care. Originally built as a hospice and respite-care home, it provided a peaceful, home-like environment for families navigating end-of-life care. In 2021, recognizing the evolving needs of our community, the Cottage was certified as an Assisted Living Facility, expanding its mission while preserving its spirit of compassionate patient-centered care. This year, we celebrate 25 years of care!

We're fundraising to:

🏡 Ensure the Cottage remains a vital resource

Need a little extra help with groceries? The Stevens County Food Distribution will be held from 3–6 p.m. (or until food is gone) at the Morris Area High School South Parking Lot this afternoon.
