Yesterday’s pop-up was so good. I always enjoy whenever I can get my hands on it, but this time I shared with the fam and it did not disappoint.

We shared a variety of slices. The kids loved the fig pies best. The pies were fantastic, Miles was pi**ed that there weren’t leftovers for breakfast lol.

And for dessert, The Trash Can Truffles from were delicious. And we all enjoyed the cannolis from . Soooooo good. I don’t normally care for cannolis but these were perfectly decadent, but not too rich!

Oh and everything else was vegan. I’m not vegan, I just enjoy good food. All of it packed a punch. Also no one asked for this review but I always love sharing experiences that showcase great people to support their small businesses.

They’re doing pop-ups all over so check their pages for details on upcoming events. And hopefully we can have them again soon at . ✌️

I’m in awe of all the amazing women I have encountered in my life. The women living their most authentic lives, chasing their dreams, standing in their conviction, just living their best damn life.

I’m in awe of the women that are killing it with their careers, the women that are moms, the women that are not moms, the women that are taking chances and living unconventional lives, the women that don’t have any idea of what their next step will be but are laying the ground work to put one foot in front of the other, the women that are still figuring it out.

Happy International Women’s Day!

TW: I don’t like watching the news, I find most of it to be too sensationalized and propaganda driven on every side. It’s hard to avoid though, especially on social media. it’s a struggle for me to separate my emotion from what happens in the world. And now as a mom I find myself feeling even deeper.

This week has been rough. I’ve woken up or gone to bed seeing reports of slain children and my heart cannot fathom how there are people in this world that could hurt another person deeply… people that could kill and torture children. How??? How are there real life monsters that live among us that could do that.

I woke up Wednesday crying for so many killed babies. All over the world, Haiti, Israel, New Jersey. It’s been fu***ng with me. Seeing their pictures or names plastered all over. I know it’s in remembrance and to ground us in our humanity. But it hurts to know that there are people that could do this and even scarier could do this to me, my family.

Praying for the those mentioned in the news or not mentioned in the news. For the people and sweet babies around the world that did not get to experience life fully, and to those that didn’t get to experience love in the way I deeply love, or didn’t have a network of people that loved them so deeply as I love my friends family, and children.

Lead with love, lead with humanity with everyone you deal with and maybe there wouldn’t be so much hurt.

I didn’t grow up in Morristown, but it was the first town I lived in when moving to NJ. And now I have the pleasure of working here. It’s a beautiful town that’s ever changing and growing. It’s filled with great businesses and wonderful people. It also doesn’t hurt that its got a great aesthetic and cute downtown. And at its heart are the small businesses with incredible and incredibly hard working people.

For the last 5 years I’ve been popping into The Artist Baker for their delicious treats. I also love being able to chat with Andrea and her team. They are some of the warmest, welcoming people in Morristown.

I stopped by yesterday morning for a scone and once again had the pleasure of talking to Andrea. Over the years we’ve talked about our local communities, our shops, family, hobbies, the world and it’s always a fantastic dialogue.

I love the work that I do because it puts me in direct contact with cool people like Andrea. The Chatty Kathy in me hates small talk and loves big talk with a myriad of people. So when I get to connect, like really connect to people, whether it be in 5 mins or 5 hours, my soul is renewed.

If you’re looking to support a wonderful small business with big heart, check out The Artist Baker in Morristown. They have amazing pastries and desserts. They recently added tea service 🤗

Our Story

After sixteen years of working in retail and customer service, I had climbed the corporate ladder and settled into a management position. I thought my career path was set and everything was great, except it wasn’t. The hours were long and demanding and the work wasn’t fulfilling. I was anxious, stressed out, emotionally drained and felt trapped. I decided to seek out the help of a therapist and was advised to try yoga as a way to manage my anxiety and stress. Not long after that recommendation, the universe provided me with an opportunity. My mother-in-law asked me to join her for a class at a new studio and I loved it. I felt better, lighter mentally and emotionally. I continued taking classes and was actively immersing myself in practices to find peace of mind and serenity. I became eager to deepen my practice.

I signed up for a Reiki certification to learn about energy healing and felt a change within me. I became aware of how my intention and energy could not only help myself, but others as well. I kept the momentum going with a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. The program ignited a passion in me so deep that I knew I was onto something and that everything in my life had been leading me to this holistic path. I then had the opportunity to take an Aerial Yoga certification through Aviana Yoga and that inspired me even further. I wanted to not only teach yoga, but make it more accessible and help people see that they too can do this. Yoga truly is for everyone.

With thoughts of my own family planning emerging, I started to research options and came across Birth Doula training. After learning about how doulas can help improve the birthing experiences and outcomes, especially for those in minority groups, I knew it was the perfect next step in my journey. As I discovered new insights and added new skills to my “Wellness Toolbox” I came to the realization that Holistic Wellness was my calling and I embraced it.

I am so excited to continue to learn and grow by sharing these gifts with others. Everyone deserves to thrive and find peace of mind, especially those that feel like they cannot achieve these comforts - much like myself before embarking on this path. Through the lessons and healing modalities that I’ve learned, it is a privilege and honor to help guide others in this journey toward wellness.
