It’s an intense one, for sure! Take care of yourselves and others as best you can right now. (And always.)

The days leading into an eclipse can feel unusually charged, as though everything you have pushed aside suddenly wants your attention.

Sleep may feel restless, dreams become vivid, emotions feel more intense, and old memories or unfinished conversations can return unexpectedly. People may reveal feelings they have kept hidden, truths can surface, and decisions that felt easy to postpone may suddenly feel urgent.

Eclipses are linked with major endings, revelations and changes in direction. This is a powerful time to notice what keeps repeating, what feels different, and what your intuition has already been trying to show you.

Important

If my teens ever feel like someone is following them, the ONE thing I teach them NOT to do is run.

This isn't hypothetical for me.

A few years ago, I was at the mall with my kids and noticed a man following us. My first instinct was to run. Instead, I walked into the nearest store and asked the staff to call mall security. He was gone in seconds.

That experience sent me down a rabbit hole. I started going through everything I could find from personal safety and criminology specialists, and what I learned completely changed what I teach my teens.

Because running is the one thing most experts agree you should not do. The second you take off, you show fear, and fear is exactly what pushes someone with bad intent to move faster, not back off.

Here's what I teach mine instead 👇

1️⃣ Confirm it first. Shift direction slightly and keep your normal pace. An innocent person won't follow. Someone with intent will. Three turns in a row tells you everything.

2️⃣ Walk toward people and cameras. Step into any store. Get close to the register. Being visible in a monitored space is often enough to make someone disappear.

3️⃣ Don't go home. If you lead them to where you live, you've given them something they didn't have before. Go public instead.

4️⃣ Say your location out loud. Take out your phone and say clearly where you are, even with no one on the line. People who follow others tend to back off the moment someone's whereabouts are spoken.

5️⃣ Ask a family nearby for help, and be specific. Say: "Can you stay with me for 30 seconds? I think someone's following me." Specialists say specific asks work. Vague ones get ignored.

The goal isn't to scare them. It's to make sure they have a plan before their brain freezes.

Mine almost did that day at the mall.
