Join us on August 1 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Morrow Center & Exhibition Hall for an evening of community, celebration, and fun. Enjoy the famous cake auction, live entertainment from Kurt Thomas Music, and more! Our March Impact Report is here! We are inspired by what can be accomplished when our two clinic locations come together to support our patients throughout their health journeys.

We also hosted our Mobile Dental Clinic on March 27–28, providing free dental care to 25 patients, including:
• 37 fillings
• 51 X-rays
• 15 cleanings
• 14 extractions

Awardee Spotlight: Volunteer of the Year

We have over 1,000 amazing volunteers, but each year we recognize a few of them for their exceptional service to our clients. This year, PBPA recognized Phil Cooper as a Volunteer of the Year. Phil, a corporate partner at Nelson Mullins, worked many hours to assist Urban Health & Wellness Clinic in their acquisition of Good Shepherd Clinic. Assisted by his colleagues, Phil drafted the transaction documents and pushed the transaction forward through months of complications to a successful closing in December.

We are thrilled to announce that Susan Whatley, MSN, APRN, FNP-C has been selected as Health Equity Leader of the Year at the 2026 Health Care Champion Awards, presented by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Health Care Champion Awards honor frontline health care heroes alongside some of the industry’s most innovative and influential leaders.

This recognition comes at a particularly meaningful time, as our organization celebrates 10 years of service, beginning this April. For a decade, the clinic, under Susan's leadership, has remained committed to advancing health equity and expanding access to quality care in our community.
