Dr. Marcus Po**en, Associate Professor of Special Education at WSU, and Kristi Tippett, Director of WSU ROAR, will be presenting, “Addressing Challenges in Audit Course Enrollment for Students with Intellectual Disabilities” at the 2026 CONNECT Conference!
Inclusive academic courses are essential to inclusive postsecondary education, but challenges such as delayed registration, limited instructor preparation, and insufficient supports often limit student participation.
To address these barriers, WSU ROAR completed a year long evaluation examining audit course experiences from the perspectives of students, instructors, and program staff.
This interactive session will share key findings and introduce new, data informed faculty supports and resources designed to improve inclusive audit course experiences and promote cross site learning.
We look forward to the important conversations and practical strategies this session will bring to the conference!
