Vacation is over! What a wonderful, productive two weeks it has been. I have accomplished most of the things I had on my list, and now I must implement the rest of them. Time is a tough slave master in many ways, it runs through our fingers like water, we can’t stop it, but it is a powerful reminder that we won’t live forever and so we don’t want to waste it. I still have much to do! I think you do too!
I have been remiss in keeping up with my Turn Back Time with Joy business page. I have so much to say about life, health, and fitness, but it has gotten put on the back burner because my time and energy have been focused on my everyday physical work out classes. I love what I do! I have the best students in the world, and I love working out with them, watching them get stronger with time, but I also have all of you who I know would be encouraged if I just let you into my world more. Putting up a video every once in a while, isn’t necessarily helpful because it breaks continuity. I started the videos to help and encourage my Strong in the Lord fitness students who worked out at the church but had moved away and still wanted to work out with me. Truthfully, it’s not always easy to get a video up and running. Sometimes the Internet won’t co-operate, sometimes my time is running short, sometimes my Ipad needs to be charged…I could go on, but you get the idea. It all comes down to using my time more productively, which is my goal. So, with a lot of help from the Lord, I am going to endeavor to write more, put up more videos, and let you into my busy world more often.
If you are struggling with self-image, I have been there! If you are struggling with motivation, I’ve been there! If you are struggling with discouragement, I’ve been there too! You may not see it, but get me into that work out room, pump up the music, and everything changes! Try it, you’ll find it’s true. You might have to talk yourself into exercise, you might finish tired, but you’ll end up feeling successful, being more productive and energetic too.
Life isn’t meant to be easy. We all have our issues, but our minds control our actions. How we think governs how we feel and what we do, and we all want to live our lives to the fullest. We were not meant to sit and ruminate; we were meant to get up and move. My goal is to help each of you live your best life—and that of course includes exercise. In the coming months I hope to help you not only reach your goal but also accept and appreciate where you are right now! It’s a journey I hope we can take together! Until next time, don’t give up on yourself, get up and do what you can. Short or long, easy or hard, every day you exercise is a link in the chain. Don’t break the chain, and you will have a stronger, healthier life!
The ball is in your court, now I’d like to hear from you!
