7Directions® is a sacred dance ceremony and somatic practice which combines freestyle dance, Earth-based ceremony, eclectic world/pop/devotional music and subtle energy healing work to facilitate release, pleasure and freedom.

One Thursday morning in January of 2002, founder Staci Boden was dancing in the living room when an urge to connect movement with Earth-based spirituality became a seed for exploration.

Rooted in a legacy of fierce mama love and inspired by extensive non-ordinary states of consciousness and sacred container training, 7Directions came to life with dance circles forming across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Today, over 22 years later, 7Directions has emerged as a dance ceremony and a profound teacher.

When we invoke seven essential places—east, south, west, north, below, above and within—we create a loving yet potent sacred circle for our highest good and deepest healing.

When we voice our intentions aloud, we initiate a conversation with the mystery.

Dancing together in ceremony expands these conversations into daily life.

Dancing together also facilitates community.

Join Staci Boden and Jane Sanguinetti for an ongoing women’s circle where the healing potency of free-form dance and eclectic music meets the nourishing power of a women’s group.

Held within an Earth-based ceremony, 7Directions creates a loving woman-centered space for people to connect and transform their loves. Women are invited to come share, laugh, dance, listen, grieve, learn, celebrate, make art and co-create community together.

After circling up for personal check-ins, we move into dance ceremony.
Accompanied by a blend of tribal, world, electronic and pop music, each person is free to explore intentions, follow energy, and discover their own sense of rhythm.

We complete with resting and journaling by candlelight before offering blessings.

When a woman decides to call back her wild nature, she is choosing to own all of herself. She enters the cauldron of fire and places her fears, defenses, wounds, false stories, and ancestral imprints into the flames. She drops the need to fit in, be loved, look pretty, stay safe, be small.

She embraces her courage, intuition, authenticity, and primal instincts. She may feel exposed, stripped naked and raw. Her heart begins to crack open and FEEL.

Her roots are moving deeper, into the fertile earth. She crouches, shows her fangs, speaks truth, and lets herself hiss, growl, and scream for as long as it takes to free herself. She stalks the predator, dances in ecstasy, and braids mugwort into her hair.

Her ferocity is born of love for the parts of herself that were never protected or fought for. She feeds those tender parts of herself with smoke and ash and honey.

She calls forth desire, passion, strength and joy from within herself. She wants more. More expression, more liberation, more LIFE!

She has danced with the Goddesses of rage. She is the wild fiery woman. She is kind, and her kindness is true instead of performative. She gives her love and nurturing freely. She does not apologize for asking for what she needs and desires. She knows how to hold boundaries. Her feminine instincts are being repaired. She is beginning to remember…

Every woman can take up more space, breathe in creation, stoke the holy inner fires, expand and unfurl. The world is starving for truly embodied women.

These are images from our recent rage and empowerment weekend in the LUMINOUS PATH program for women. We embrace the light and dark within ourselves. We have deep compassion for one another as we honor and build each other up. We come together to howl, play, heal, transform and witness each other’s magic and wildness. We are rising from the ashes. Students in the Luminous Path program learn how to move into relationship with the other than human world. Our beloved plant relatives have much to teach us! Beyond herbalism, we are learning to listen to plants, sing to them, merge with their consciousness, and offer healings with them. Students share what they are growing, exploring, and foraging with their community of earth based women here.

A level one class is being offered May 3 in Moss Beach.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Many have reported miraculous healing results. 🔥

During our time together you will be introduced to the Usui lineage and receive level one attunements.

You will become a level one practitioner and learn basic hand positions and begin to sense energy throughout your entire body.

You will be taken through a step by step healing approach with a practice client.

No experience is needed for this entry level, heart based experience. 🧡

Would you like to learn Reiki ?

I am teaching another round of students the three levels this year beginning in May. Let us begin with Level 1 on Sunday, May 3.

Reiki is not just an energy healing “technique”; it is about channeling a particular lineage’s life force through you. This life force can transform ourselves, food, water, plants, the earth, and people we are supporting.

We are working with the Usui lineage from Japan, which brings radiance, miraculous healing, intuition, and blessings to body, mind, heart and spirit.

I have attuned at least 100 people to Reiki life force energy and have been teaching since 2009.

Incredible time bending medicine arrived for our graduation ceremony on Sunday.

Walking this circle home in bliss…

We have just graduated our sixth class in shamanic studies at Joy of Being.

We complete with the great teachings of what true intimacy, relationship, presence, growth, agency, trust, humility and choosing ourselves requires. And we chose to keep showing up in reverence and care, step by step around the medicine wheel.

Congratulations to the graduates!

Huge respect to the team, you are pure love. Thank you for your service and devotion to earth based ways and to women everywhere.

As this circle closes, I continue to thank over and over, every direction, my teachers and lineages. May all peoples be met with the intentionality and compassion we have offered this year. And so it is. 💗🪶🌎🔥💧🌱💫💪🏻
