Soap is not soap. At least not most of it. Most of what you buy at the store is actually detergent--something that strips your skin of its protective acid mantle (do you have to use lotion a lot??)
And soap is where my work in the world of healing started over 20 years ago when I discovered, not even at the health food stores at the time, could you get clean beauty and body-care products.
So I taught myself how to make my own soap, which expanded to lotion, which expanded into distillation, and then herbalism, and now you can get just about any herbal preparation from me when my shelves are well stocked.
The soap I make is "super-fatted" which means that there is extra fat or oil left in the bar after the chemical reaction of saponification occurs. This means, when you use a super-fatted soap, often your skin will be less dry and prone to breakouts. I also recommend focusing on pits and bits when using any kind of soap.
My soaps, like all of my products, have only 100% natural ingredients, no synthetics ever.
My 30% off sale is still going, and if you want to grab some soap, I have a few bars of peppermint and shaving soap left. If you are looking for a more natural approach to your self-care routine, soap is a great foundation for everything else, and it's far better for you than the detergents and synthetic body washes you buy most places. Keep your hormones and skin happy!
