Reusable piercing guns can put clients in direct contact with bodily fluids and blood from previous clients. Though the earring may seem pointy, they are actually quite dull and need to be forced through the ear, causing blunt force trauma. This may result in significant pain and swelling, can lead to many healing issues, and may eventually result in the loss of your piercing. In addition, the jewelry used in a gun is not the appropriate length or style for healing a piercing, which can lead to an array of other issues like absorbed jewelry or piercing bumps.
