Sometimes in business, you have to fix mistakes. But when something goes wrong, what we HAVE to do is make it right.
This stairlift installation was one of those instances. The stairlift was installed, but ultimately, it was too wide. The customer wasn’t happy and it was our mistake. We made a promise to this customer, and we didn’t deliver on that promise the first time. So, what do we do? We make it right.
We had the entire railing remade and came back to complete the job. The loss on this job ended up being more than the gain would have been if everything had gone perfectly the first time. But sometimes, that’s simply the cost of doing business the right way.
This is what we pride ourselves on. Taking responsibility, standing behind our work, and doing whatever it takes to make sure our customers are taken care of. At the end of the day, we now have another happy customer who can safely and confidently get up and down her stairs. That matters more to us than the profit on a job ever could.
It’s about the people who trust us to help them. We preach putting the customer first, and when it really matters, we make sure we live by it. We can’t make a living doing this all the time. We will learn from this and get better, that’s the profit and the lesson in our mission.
Onward!!💙💚
