It’s Fish Friday y’all! Our dietary team have prepared an exquisite meal for our residents today. For starters, a creamy Cucumber Salad was presented by our activities director, followed by Beer battered fish served with crispy curly fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, and Yellow lemon lime ribbon cake for dessert served by our dietary team.

Our residents look forward to group therapy sessions every Friday, which focus on improving motivation, mobility, flexibility, and strength. Each session is thoroughly enjoyed, especially during our Friday Fundays.

As we began the week with Memorial Day, we wanted to take a moment to express our deepest appreciation for the men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation. Every element on the table carries significant symbolism: the round table symbolizes the endless concern and everlasting care for those missing, the white tablecloth represents the purity and selflessness of their service, the single rose represents the faith and dedication of families and loved ones, the yellow ribbon embodies the hope for their return and their love of our country, the slice of lemon and pinch of salt poignantly symbolizes the sacrifice and hardship endured, the lighted candle serves as a beacon of hope for their return, and the inverted glass and empty chair serve as a reminder of those who cannot be with us. We will never forget their sacrifice. On behalf of Pleasant Springs Healthcare, we thank you for your service and sacrifice.

A traditional Texas-style meal was served to our residents this week, thoughtfully prepared by the dietary team. The activities department started the meal with cheesy bacon grit cups, and the dietary team followed with our Texas BBQ pork ribs, paired with creamy potato salad and savory beans, concluding with a delightful apricot cake.
