The most difficult part of having summer babies (besides just getting out of the house in general) is getting out of the house during times of the day when it isn’t too hot. My doctor’s recommendation was to stay indoors once it gets over 85 degrees which in Charleston, has been almost every day since May! I thought since it’s been overcast and “cooler” these past few days we would check out the sunflowers at Boone Hall Plantation! Unfortunately the rain made the fields a little too muddy so if you go this weekend I would definitely recommend wearing rain boots and bring wipes if anyone falls or gets stuck (like my toddler did!)
🌻The sunflower fields are open Monday - Saturday from 10am - 4pm. It’s $1/person admission and $2/stem. Also, In the past they provided clippers, but the past two years they have required you to bring your own, so don’t forget your garden shears!
Do you plan on going to the fields this summer?
