Are you team Cesar salad, Greek salad or Mexican salad?

Greek is my favorite, but I love using whatever I have on hand to get creative with salads.

What’s your go-to salad combo?

No fancy routine required. Just a little sunlight, a glass of water before the coffee, and a few quiet minutes before the day picks up speed. ☀️

Healthy doesn't have to mean complicated; sometimes it's just about giving your body a gentler start.

A few minutes of meal planning goes a long way. 🌿

When you take a little time to map out your week's meals, two things happen: you naturally make healthier choices (because you're not scrambling at 6 pm), and it's easier on your budget, you can plan meals around using up what you already have instead of letting ingredients go to waste.

It doesn't have to be complicated. Even a rough outline of "breakfast, lunch, dinner" for the week can save you time, money, and stress.

Need some inspiration? I've got over 2,000 recipes and articles on my Pinterest board https://ph.pinterest.com/PleasantWellness/?invite_code=7313bceb1a7041bf8c4abfc432acf729&sender=501588614656822864

The gut-brain connection is real. 🧠

What you eat isn't just about energy or digestion, it directly impacts how your brain functions, how you handle stress, and even your mood. Protein, healthy fats, and fiber all play a role in keeping that communication running smoothly.

Something to think about next time you're deciding what to put on your plate. 🌿

Most people think that fiber is just good for being "regular," but there are other benefits. Fiber also feeds the good bacteria in your digestive tract, and is known to support the cardiovascular system.

It's always best to get fiber from real foods, like fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, beans and legumes, and sprouted, organic grains. Skip the powders and bars when you can, and let real food do the work.

Small swap to try this week: add one extra fiber-rich food to a meal you already eat often. 🌿

If this convo feels a little too familiar... 😅

That burning feeling that shows up right when you lay down? It's often tied to so much more than what, and when, you ate. Coffee on an empty stomach, eating too close to bedtime, or low stomach acid (yes, low, not always high) can all be culprits. It can also mean that your gut lining is compromised and that’s a huge red flag that needs to be addressed.

Long before the pharmacy, nature had a remedy, and many of these plants grow right here in Michigan. 🌿

Willow bark, elderberry, nettle, plantain, wild cherry bark, rosehip, plants our own land has offered for generations. Modern medicine has its place, but it's worth remembering where so much of it started, and what's still growing in our own backyards.

What's your favorite remedy? Drop it below 👇

The rich purple color of the grapes and blueberries meant they’re high in antioxidants.

The frozen grapes are my favorite. ;-) What’s yours?

Your gut doesn't just handle digestion; it's connected to your energy, your skin, your mood, and your hormones.

So when something feels "off," it's worth paying attention. 🔎

Save this so you remember it next time your body's trying to tell you something.
