I Set Up Outside a Rural Hospital in Colombia and Offered Energy Healing to Strangers. Here's What Happened.

I set up outside a local hospital and began offering energy healing to people passing by. No appointment. No prior explanation. No shared language.

Using psychedelic cactus to address severe depression.

Right now, I am working with someone who has not stepped outside his room for 13 years following a life-altering event.

Thirteen years.

As I've worked with him through energy healing, I've watched how profound emotional wounds can imprison a person just as effectively as physical walls. When someone has suffered that deeply for that long, it's worth asking whether the conventional approaches are enough.

That question is personal for me.

I spent more than 10 years on Zoloft and Wellbutrin. Like millions of others, I trusted the system and followed the path that was prescribed. Yet the deepest healing in my own life came not from medication, but from reclaiming my connection to myself, my spirit, and the natural world.

Now, while traveling through the Colombian Andes by motorcycle, I am exploring another tool that has a long history of traditional use: Huachuma (San Pedro cactus), specifically the Bolivian Torch variety that grows wild in these mountains.

For me, there is something powerful about combining:

⚡ Energy healing, presence, and consciousness work

🌵 The grounded, direct force of cactus medicine

🏍️ Adventure, challenge, and reconnecting with life itself

In this video, I ride through some of the most beautiful roads in the Andes, climb a steep mountainside to reach wild cactus growing on a cliff, harvest it, and demonstrate a preparation method that takes about one hour rather than the many hours often described elsewhere.

I don't believe healing belongs exclusively to pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, shamans, healers, or doctors.

I believe healing belongs to each of us.

Sometimes the path requires questioning old assumptions and being willing to explore beyond the boundaries of what we've been told is possible.

I rode high into the Colombian Andes searching for authentic indigenous healing traditions. What I found was a powerful cleansing ritual involving medicinal plants, induced purging, cold mountain conditions, and practices that have been passed down for generations.

The experience challenged many of my assumptions about healing, tradition, and the balance between preserving ancient knowledge and adapting to the modern world. Some moments were physically intense. Others were deeply thought-provoking.

While the ritual was intense, it ultimately felt like a ritual rather than a personalized healing process. What became clear to me is that true healing requires listening to our own inner wisdom. Each person is unique, and what serves one individual may not serve another. That realization is why I completed the cleanse but chose not to participate in the final ceremony. Sometimes the most important spiritual decision is knowing when to continue and when to walk away.

Travel has a way of taking us beyond our comfort zones and forcing us to see things with fresh eyes. I left with a deeper appreciation for discernment, personal responsibility, and the importance of finding practices that genuinely resonate with our own path.

I stumbled across one of the most interesting gyms I've seen while traveling through the Colombian Andes. 🏔️💪🇨🇴

Most of the equipment was built locally using steel, chains, bearings, and a lot of welding skill.

Some machines are a little shaky. Some are surprisingly difficult to use. A few definitely have their own personality.

But many of them work remarkably well.

It was a reminder that innovation doesn't always come from large companies or expensive equipment. Sometimes it comes from people using the materials they have available and finding practical solutions to everyday challenges.

I thought I was just stopping to wash my riding jeans.

Somewhere high in the Colombian Andes, I found a traditional mountain wash basin and started cleaning off days of dust, mud, and road grime from the journey.

Then a local expert walked over and showed me how it's really done.

More soap. More scrubbing. A lot more effort.

Travel often reminds me that knowledge comes in many forms. Sometimes it comes from a professor, a business leader, or a mentor. Sometimes it comes from someone standing beside a wash basin in a mountain village.

The jeans came out cleaner than ever, and I left with a deeper appreciation for the people and traditions that make these places special.

I traveled deep into the mountains of Colombia searching for an authentic shamanic tradition.

What I found was not what I expected.

After meeting many practitioners and hearing countless stories, I discovered a woman known locally as the "Lady of the Divine Child Jesus." According to those in the region, she carries a rare spiritual lineage that has been passed down through generations.
