It’s time to make an official post. Mouse Town Tattoo was a shop that we poured ourselves into. A tattoo shop that was everything we believed a shop should be, and more. Unfortunately Mouse Town Tattoo is gone, but it won’t be forgotten. While we were going to weather the storm and continue on, life had other plans. Nicki and I believe in people over profits and building community and standing up for the rights of marginalized communities and those in need. While people can say don’t mix politics and business we believe strongly that some things are more important than money. Standing up against fascism, racism and bigotry is at the core of our beliefs. We had our home address doxxed, we received numerous death threats, and an insane amount of slander, and false accusations. Our resolve remains stronger than ever. But leaving my family in the middle of those threats to keep a tattoo shop an hour away from my home was not reasonable or responsible. So here we are moving onto to the next chapter. Mouse Town meant a ton to the crew and everyone that was apart of it. Nicki and I have so many memories that we will cherish forever, made clients and friends that became like family, and saw others for exactly who they are. While MTT is gone we will honor any gift certificates at our sister shop Broughton Tattoo Co. in Effingham IL. So no need to say goodbye come see Nicki and Jason at Broughton. Augie is around and doing guest spots. Glenn is at Artistic Minds in Carbondale. Atalie is at Rend City in Benton. Sky is at Evermore Tattoo in Edwardsville. Follow each artist to their new homes. American citizens detained while standing peacefully. They detained MAGA supporters here. Perhaps a private military that ignores the law, and the constitution shouldn’t exist. Our tax dollars are funding the dismantling of our democracy.

ICE here in Chicago firing unprovoked at journalists and their vehicles.

They have also put up fences across streets in defiance of the city of Broadview. ICE and the trump administration have ignored local authorities demands to remove it. The local fire department has made statements saying it interferes with their ability to access the area to protect other business, and residents in the case of an emergency.

I use to hear a lot about states rights, if the Temu Gestapo and this administration can do as they please and ignore the laws and court orders then you have no rights.

This will eventually affect everyone. No one is immune to what is going on. Your level of comfort maybe here today, you may not be “political” but what is happening will still find you. You can sit back, and watch prices skyrocket on food, as well as everything else you need to live.

Now is when people need to stand up and say enough is enough.

This should concern all Americans. The elite are protecting themselves and sewing as much division as they can. This rhetoric of Democrats or the Left being the enemy within is just a way to keep us all divided and fighting ourselves.

The Left and right need to get together and solve the real problems of this country.

No one wants the military using our cities as training grounds, and policing our streets.

Domestic violence shelters, and many social services are being closed around the US as they have been defunded.

100% Tariffs on prescription drugs will double the cost for the average person.

The cost of healthcare is on track to double, and removing the tax credits for healthcare marketplaces will only cause Americans to lose coverage.

And we just had 6 more school shootings.

Let’s protect our children, and start talking about more the real issues.

ICE agents are going to end up taking the life of an American citizen because they are not trained to deal with these situations. They have already killed a man in Chicago, and exaggerated the story to paint themselves in a better light.

Tear gas and flash bangs against peaceful protesters and reporters. Excessive force and pepper balls indiscriminately fired at the crowd. This is the facility in Broadview IL 2 hours north of Champaign.

Real patriots stand up for their neighbors not corporations.

This is the Chicago Ice facility. Where is your empathy for the father’s mothers and siblings ripped from their families. No due process, no chance to even prove citizenship. Tear gas and pepper spray paintballs against peaceful protesters. Ice detaining protesters. These protesters are what true patriots look like.
