A little singing, a little pretend play, and a whole lot of learning!

Our speech therapist used this kiddo’s love of Five Green and Speckled Frogs to create a pretend pond, opening up new opportunities for language, imagination, and play. And of course, a few cars had to take a dip too!

Just another day at Leg Up Farm!

Some people have a desk job. Our Facility Manager apparently has a pond job.

Keeping the farm running means doing whatever it takes, including jumping into the pond to clean out drains and keep everything flowing!

A big thanks to our Facility Manager for getting down and dirty to keep things flowing around the farm.

Our farm truck is an important part of keeping our farm running, from hauling supplies and equipment to helping us care for our 16 horses and maintain our property. This generous support helps keep the wheels turning so we can continue doing what we do best: providing life-changing therapy and experiences to the individuals and families we serve.

Parents and caregivers spend so much time thinking about what their loved one with special needs needs today.

Therapy. School. Medical care. Transportation. Opportunities for independence. The right support system.

But there is another question that can be much harder to think about:

What happens when I am no longer able to provide that support?

At Leg Up Farm, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, supported, and fulfilling life. That's why we're proud to partner with to help families think about another important piece of that future: Special Needs Planning.

Together, we've created a new resource exploring questions families may have about Special Needs Trusts, government benefits, what happens when a child turns 18, decision-making, future caregivers, financial support, and more.

Most importantly, families do not need to have every answer before they begin planning.

They simply need a place to start.

What a summer it’s been! From horse time and new friendships to plenty of smiles and memories, our campers made this summer one to remember.

Thank you to our amazing campers, families, staff, volunteers, and sponsors who made it all possible.
