Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss Transforming Grief and Loss into Resilience, Empathy and Compassion We provide free peer grief support year-round for as long as is needed.

Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, is a grief support center for children, young adults and families dealing with the death or life-altering illness of a parent, sibling or child. We also provide training and education to over 2000 individuals annually through Imagine University™ at school districts, houses of worship, agencies, corporations, and other organizations throughout the United St

ates. Finally, we provide onsite support at your school, business, or community location after any trauma or loss. Our goal is to create communities where grief and loss are transformed into resilience, empathy and compassion; and create communities where no child grieves alone. Imagine is completely privately funded through the generous contributions of our donors, and our work is only made possible through their support. A huge THANK YOU to the team at Wiss for spending this past Monday helping us continue to make our expanded Newark Center feel like home! 💜

Wiss has been a consistent and generous supporter of Imagine, and this day of service is just one of the many ways they continue to show up for our mission and the children and families we serve.

Exciting things are happening at Imagine Newark! 💜

This summer, Imagine Newark expanded our commitment to serve families and expanded our square footage to do so! Still at 570 Broad Street, our staff spent yesterday moving furniture, organizing our adult and children's support group rooms, cleaning, organizing, and setting up our newly expanded space with the support of our friends from Bona Vita!

A special thank you to team at Bona Vita Benefits for rolling up their sleeves to volunteer, and making a generous donation of $2,500 to support Imagine’s mission and ensure Imagine families never have to pay a dime for services during the worst parts of their lives.

We’re grateful for this partnership and for all the ways our expanded space will allow us to serve and support even more of the Newark community. 💜

Meet another inspiring member of Team Imagine. 🧡🏃‍♀️
This November, Chloe Spillane will run her fourth marathon and her first as a member of Team Imagine, raising funds to help provide free grief support for children, families, and young adults.
For Chloe, every mile is in honor of her dad.

After losing her father unexpectedly to a heart attack at just 25 years old, Chloe experienced the loneliness that can come with grieving such a significant loss at a young age. Today, she is passionate about helping others know they don't have to navigate grief alone.

As Chloe beautifully shares, grief isn't something you simply "move on" from—it's something that changes over time. By talking about her dad, honoring his memory, and living a life that would make him proud, she continues to carry his love with her every day.

Now, she's turning that love into action by running for Team Imagine, helping ensure that others facing loss have access to compassionate support and a caring community.

We're so grateful to have Chloe representing Imagine in this year's TCS New York City Marathon.

Few people can say they've run a marathon on every continent and encompassing all Global majors—but Michael Patrick Davidson, a native of the Hudson Valley just minutes from New York City, has earned this privilege since he began running in 1997.

This November, Michael will take on his 41st Global Marathon and the 14th on the streets of New York City, adding another finish line to an already extraordinary running journey. Over the years, he has completed marathons in destinations spanning Antarctica, Easter Island, Madagascar, Cape Town, Bhutan, Sydney, Greenland, Tokyo, London, Berlin, Boston and many more. His passion for running has quite literally taken him around the world.

Just as impressive as the miles he's logged is the impact he's made along the way as Michael has raised more than $450,000 for charitable organizations, using running as an opportunity to exercise gratitude and giving back.

This year, Michael is running for Imagine in honor of his mother, whom he lost to cancer in 2021 as his commitment to supporting others through fundraising is an incredible reflection of how he has chosen to channel his own experience with loss into helping families in our community.

We are incredibly honored that Michael has chosen to make Imagine part of his remarkable marathon journey. His dedication, generosity, and unwavering commitment to giving back are truly inspiring, and we can't wait to cheer him on every step of the way this November.
