How do you talk to a child about death?

It’s one of the hardest conversations many parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals will ever have—and one of the most important.

Join Imagine for a free Grief Education Webinar, How to Talk to Kids about Death and Dying, where we'll explore age-appropriate ways to discuss death, answer difficult questions, and support children who are coping with loss.

Whether you're supporting a grieving child or preparing for future conversations, this webinar will provide practical guidance, helpful language, and greater confidence in navigating these meaningful discussions.

Some losses are not caused by death — but can still bring deep grief, heartbreak, and isolation.

At Imagine, our support groups focus on grief related to death loss. However, we often hear from community members looking for support around other types of loss and life experiences. We wanted to share this community resource for parents coping with estrangement from an adult child.

Parent Experiencing Adult Child Estrangement NJ (P.E.A.C.E.) is a monthly support group that meets at our Imagine center, offering a safe space for connection, understanding, and compassion. For more information contact P.E.A.C.E. at [email protected].

TOMORROW IS THE DAY 💜

Tomorrow, thousands of people will come together for something so much bigger than a race.

We will run.
We will walk.
We will remember.
We will celebrate the lives and legacies of the people we love and miss every single day.

From the energy of the starting line, to the cheers along the course, to the Memory Walk signs surrounding Roosevelt Intermediate School, Greta’s Run is a reminder that no one has to grieve alone.

Because of this incredible community, Imagine can continue providing FREE grief support to children, teens, young adults, and families coping with loss.

Whether you are joining us for the 5K, the Kids Fun Run, or the Memory Walk — thank you for being part of this beautiful day of remembrance, hope, connection, and joy.

We are expecting our biggest Greta’s Run yet, and we cannot wait to see our community show up for one another tomorrow morning.
