Recovery happens best in community.
We are honored to be part of the Currituck County Recovery Court team, working alongside Judge Robert Trivette, Coordinator Angela Lottman, law enforcement, attorneys, community leaders, and local partners to help individuals build healthier, more hopeful futures.
At the June 5 Recovery Court session, participants were celebrated for milestones including consecutive negative drug screens, phase advancements, and meaningful progress in their recovery journeys. One participant, Cody Grimstead, advanced to Phase III, earning the removal of his ankle monitor and curfew restrictions, a powerful reminder that recovery is possible when people are given support, accountability, and opportunity.
Recovery Court is changing lives by helping individuals overcome substance use disorders, rebuild relationships, find employment, and become productive members of our community.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside so many dedicated professionals and community partners who believe in second chances and lasting recovery.
Thank you to The Outer Banks Voice for highlighting the incredible work being done through Currituck County Recovery Court.
