This is an update on our house from late last summer. This was our repair progress from 12/2/24-10/25 a solid 10 months of gutting, rebuilding and replacing. This is a decent example of whats required for home repairs for mold hypersensitivity recovery. There are no mold remediation companies that would have done this level of repair. Medically appropriate remediation and what the mold industry sells as remediation are not the same thing.

The key factor in knowing if mold is your hidden root cause is sickness that flares with weather changes. This can happen a day or two before a big storm. If you’re working on recovering from mold, but flare with weather- there’s hidden issues to find and address, it can be mold or mold contaminated items.

Your health reactions are what tells you if you’re still exposed, not testing, not inspections and not moisture meters. Still sick is always still exposed.

Can we normalize house repairs taking time? Gutting walls, replacing windows, siding and doors is not cheap. It’s also not fast when you do it yourself in your spare time. If you know where the worst of it is, you can protect yourself by avoiding the area until it’s repaired. Dont let mold testers and inspectors totally rip you off, I promise you’ll need the money for the real repairs.
