💜⚾ WE DID IT! LLPC INC’S FIRST BACK TO SCHOOL SOFTBALL & COMMUNITY FEST! 🎒🩺

What an incredible day! Our very first Community Fest turned out even better than I imagined. 🥹

We brought children, families, and community members together for a day filled with softball, free food, sweet treats, school supplies, health screenings, music, laughter, and FUN!

🩺 We provided nearly 20 complimentary health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood oxygen checks.

⚾ Kids and adults came together on the softball field, laughed, competed, and made memories.

🏆 Our young participants walked away with trophies and some BIG smiles!

🎁 And we were able to bless a few members of our community through our raffle! We gave away a $10 Speedway gift card, a $50 Target gift card, and a brand-new nebulizer to a participant living with asthma. The nebulizer giveaway was especially meaningful because supporting children and families impacted by asthma is at the heart of why LLPC INC exists.

🎤 And one of my most special moments as a mom—my daughter gave her very first performance! Watching her grab that microphone and share her voice with our community is a memory I’ll cherish forever. 💜

Things didn't go exactly according to plan. A couple of vendors had to cancel following the recent storms, but we adjusted and kept going! Our sweet-treat vendor even stepped in with snow cones so the kids didn't miss a thing. 🍧

To every sponsor, donor, vendor, volunteer, family member, and community supporter who contributed money, supplies, food, services, time, or simply showed up: THANK YOU. You helped make this day possible.

But there is an even deeper reason this day meant so much to me.

💜 This event was held in loving memory of my daughter, Janiyah Lelani Ann Taylor.

LLPC INC was born from a loss that forever changed my life, but Janiyah's memory continues to give purpose to the work we do. Every child we educate, every family we support, every health screening we provide, and every person living with asthma we are able to help allows her legacy to continue touching lives. 🦋

Janiyah, this day was for you.

Your life became my purpose.
Your memory became our mission.
And your legacy will continue to change lives.

For Janiyah. Always. 💜

This was Year One.
