Doula Baby #207 came into the world this morning @ 3:56am! 14 hours laboring with my client. I can’t wait til this mama shares her story. It brings so much Joy to my heart!
She labored for 24 all full of God & his angels filling the room.

A room of uncertainty

A room of hope

A room with a birth team determined to have a positive outcome

A room filled with Faith & knowing that God had the last say so!
God guided me & the nurses in doing all the moves to get a sweet baby here. I mean my body is definitely feeling all the work we put in, while helping this mama do hard work to meet her sweet baby girl! Dad was amazing support as well.

Building relationships & talking with providers can definitely contribute to them being willing to listen & to exhaust all things possible for a successful vaginal birth as long as mama & baby are safe. Ask all the questions! I truly believe that’s what happened during this birth. 🙌🏽🙏🏽👏🏽♥️

Gorgeous Doula baby #206 was born today @ 6:47am & weighing 5lbs 6oz! This mama had her unmedicated birth & did amazing! This was due to me being back-up for my sis

♥️Midwifery Student Life♥️
Headed to a home birth this morning @ 5:30am to assist my preceptor, then left there around 8:50am to head in for our Friday prenatal visits! This is what we do. We get the births in, skills in, & all the things to become safe & confident midwives. I really love this work🥰

Today I just want to pause and give flowers where they are so deeply deserved 💐

I’m incredibly thankful for my amazing preceptor, , and the midwives of . I’ve known these beautiful souls since 2019, and it truly means so much to be walking alongside you all as a birth assistant and midwifery student.

Thank you for continuing to support me, teach me, and trust me as I grow into this calling. Being able to assist and train at births with you all is something I’ll never take for granted.

Jennifer, you took me under your wing and have guided me with such care on this journey. I’m forever grateful for your mentorship and belief in me 🤍

♥️The final day of World Doula Week ♥️

This work is so many things…
It’s closing your eyes with your hand resting on your client, quietly praying over them.
It’s holding their hand, truly listening, making eye contact, and speaking life-giving words of affirmation.

It’s showing up for the planned and unplanned moments like supporting during a cesarean birth, when emotions run high and decisions have to be made in seconds. When a partner follows the baby out of the room, hoping and praying everything is okay… the doula remains. Present. Grounded. Steady.

That presence matters. It brings peace, reassurance, and a sense of not being alone in one of life’s most sacred moments.

This work is sacred. And I am deeply honored to walk alongside each of you on this journey. Thank you for trusting me 🥹

Day 5 of World Doula Week!

The excitement on my face when a client has the birth they desired & worked hard for! This was an unmedicated birth. Im so glad that the photographer caught our reactions! The SMILE on my face and JOY in my HEART is never changing. If nobody has told you, I AM PROUD OF ALL OF MY CLIENTS!

Day 4 of World Doula Week 🤍 (March 22–28)

It is truly an honor and privilege to do this work and hold safe, sacred spaces for my clients. There is nothing like witnessing life enter this world and supporting a client as they work with strength, courage, and love to meet their baby. It takes courage to prepare for the birth of a baby with no heartbeat, but only footprints, love, sadness, grief & God’s presence all left in the hearts of those silent in the room.

This work takes a special kind of heart, deep passion, and unwavering commitment. The long days and nights, the moments of burnout, the missed events, and the sacrifices that often go unseen… I wouldn’t trade being a doula for anything.

I’ve had the blessing of supporting, educating, advocating for, and loving on over 200 families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am forever grateful for the trust you place in me and the relationships we build along the way.

Thank you for your continued support, for sending clients my way, and for sharing your experiences with me. It means more than you know.
