Tennessee Hemophilia & Bleeding Disorders Foundation Our Mission: To enhance the lives of those affected by bleeding disorders. An estimated 280,000 males and females live with Von Willebrand disease.

About Blood Disorders
A bleeding disorder is a genetic blood clotting deficiency caused by the absence or inactivity of an essential blood clotting protein, or “factor.” This deficiency causes the body to form unstable blood clots that allow bleeding to continue longer than normal. A person with a bleeding disorder can experience frequent and often spontaneous episodes of prolonged bleeding. The m

ost severe cases can have extensive bleeding into joints, muscles and vital organs, resulting in life-threatening emergencies and crippling long-term complications. Hemophilia and related bleeding disorders, such as Von Willebrand disease, are genetically inherited. However, one in three diagnosed cases of hemophilia results from a spontaneous genetic mutation where there is no family history of abnormal bleeding. Approximately 20,000 people in the United States are affected by Hemophilia, which occurs almost exclusively in males.

💦 CAMP FREEDOM SPOTLIGHT: WATER SLIDES & OBSTACLE COURSES 💦

Looking for excitement? Camp Freedom has you covered!

One of the biggest highlights of camp each year is our giant inflatable water slide. Campers love racing to the top, sliding down, and cooling off with friends on those warm summer days. It’s a favorite activity that always brings smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Campers can also take on our inflatable obstacle course, where they can challenge themselves, race their friends, and see who can make it through the fastest. From climbing and crawling to balancing and sprinting, it’s all about fun, friendly competition, and lots of energy!

Whether they’re making a splash on the water slide or racing through the obstacle course, campers are guaranteed to have an action-packed experience they’ll be talking about long after camp ends.

Who do you think would win the obstacle course challenge? 😎🏁

🏊 CAMP FREEDOM SPOTLIGHT: THE POOL 🏊

What would camp be without the pool?

The pool is one of the most popular spots at Camp Freedom and a place where campers can cool off, build confidence, and have tons of fun with friends throughout the week!

Whether it’s during Early Bird activities or scheduled swim times, campers enjoy a mix of games, skill-building activities, and free swim time. From practicing new swimming skills to jumping in and making a splash, there’s something for everyone.

Safety is always our top priority. A certified lifeguard is on duty at all times, and any camper who wishes to swim in the deep end must first pass a swim test.

For many campers, some of their favorite memories are made at the pool laughing with friends, playing games, and enjoying the summer sunshine.

💦 Fun, friendship, and plenty of splashes await at the Camp Freedom pool!

🏹 CAMP FREEDOM SPOTLIGHT: ARCHERY 🏹

Ready… aim… fire!

Archery has become one of Camp Freedom’s most exciting activities. Every cabin gets a chance to learn the fundamentals of safe shooting during morning activities before putting their skills to the test throughout the week.

Campers can participate in our archery tournament, featuring lifelike targets and plenty of friendly competition. For many campers, it’s also one of the most popular Early Bird activities!

Whether they’re hitting the bullseye for the first time or competing for bragging rights, archery helps campers build focus, confidence, and patience all while having a blast.

🏀 CAMP FREEDOM SPOTLIGHT: COURT COMPETITION 🏐

For years, basketball has been one of Camp Freedom’s signature activities and it’s still a fan favorite!

Our popular 3-on-3 basketball tournament brings together campers of different ages for exciting games, teamwork, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. In recent years, we’ve expanded the fun by adding Gaga Ball and Volleyball to the mix, giving campers even more ways to compete and connect.

Whether it’s a game-winning shot, an epic Gaga showdown, or a great volleyball rally, these activities create unforgettable memories and friendships.

The competition is friendly, the energy is high, and the fun never stops!

🎣 CAMP FREEDOM SPOTLIGHT: FISHING 🎣

One of the most peaceful and rewarding ways to start the day at Camp Freedom is out on the fishing dock!

Early Bird fishing is a camper favorite, offering the perfect chance to enjoy a quiet morning on the lake while waiting for that big catch. Every cabin also gets the opportunity to participate in fishing during morning activities, giving everyone a chance to learn, practice patience, and experience the excitement of reeling one in.

To make things even more exciting, campers can compete for our Fishing Award at the end of the week!

Whether it’s their first fish or their biggest catch yet, the memories made on the dock last long after camp ends. 🐟☀️
