Back in our March edition of Taylorsville Living, we had the absolute honor of featuring Tammi and her incredible work at Bright-Sun Wellness. Because I was still getting the hang of our new business social media pages back then, her wonderful story didn't get the online recognition it truly deserved—so I am making up for it today!

Tammi is not only absolutely amazing at offering transformative Health and Holistic Wellness services right here in our community, but she is also a dear friend. I am so deeply grateful for her because what she offers has profoundly helped me and my family—especially my son, who is neurodivergent. 💊 Making a Difference—One Drop-Off at a Time

Our Health in the Heights Committee recently hosted a Prescription Drug Take Back Day—and our community showed up!

👏 Together, we collected 89.2 pounds of unused and expired medications in just one event.

To put that into perspective:
From November 2025 to April 2026, our Police Department drop box collected 260.41 pounds total—which means this single event brought in over 25% of that amount!

A huge thank you to our Public Health Coordinator, Sondra Stephens, and our Police Department for making this possible.

💡 Reminder: You can safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications year-round at our Police Department.

🕒 Hours:
Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(City offices are closed on Fridays)
