Clients and followers,
I'm officially announcing that I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from tattooing.
Life is pulling me in a different direction, as it tends to do. Over the next month or so, I'll be packing up my equipment and closing up shop.
This is a weird thing to write.
Tattooing has been such a huge part of my life. I've met some incredible people through this work, heard some truly beautiful and heartbreaking stories, and gotten to make things that people will carry with them for the rest of their lives. I've been trusted with people's memories, their grief, their joy, their weird ideas, their transformations, and sometimes just a really fu***ng cool piece of art they wanted on their body.
I don't take any of that lightly.
Honestly, the people I've met and the things they've shared with me are a big part of what has pushed me toward the path I'm on now. So in a strange way, this isn't really me walking away from everything I've built. It's me taking what I've learned from it and letting it lead me somewhere new.
I don't know exactly what comes next. I don't know if this is goodbye forever or just goodbye for now. I'm trying to be okay with not knowing.
To everyone who has ever trusted me enough to sit in my chair, let me put permanent marks on your body, told me your stories, brought me your ideas, recommended me to someone, shared my work, or just cheered me on from the sidelines...

It has meant more to me than you probably realize.
For now, I'm following the next thing.
