Clinical Focus: Shoulders and Rotator Cuffs
Shoulder pain often stems from postural strain, repetitive motion, or "guarding" muscles.
Trigger Point Therapy: I focus on identifying and releasing hyper-irritable spots in the trapezius and levator scapulae that often cause referred pain up into the neck or down the arm.
Heated Bamboo Integration: The use of heated bamboo sticks is particularly effective for the shoulders. The warmth penetrates deep into the thick tissue of the upper back, while the solid bamboo allows for a level of consistent, firm pressure that kneads out stubborn knots more efficiently than manual pressure alone.
Increased Circulation: These techniques promote blood flow to constricted areas, helping to flush out metabolic waste and bring fresh oxygen to the muscles.
Clinical Focus: Lower Back and Psoas
Lower back pain is one of the most common complaints, often involving a complex relationship between the spine, hips, and core muscles.
Structural Balance: Medical massage focuses on the muscles that support the lumbar spine. While many people feel the pain in their back, the issue often involves the psoas and other muscles that connect the lower body and the torso.
Fascial Release: By working on the connective tissue (fascia) surrounding the lower back, we can restore flexibility and reduce the "pull" that leads to nerve compression or dull, aching pain.
Medical Bodywork: Utilizing deep tissue and medical massage techniques helps to reset muscle memory, encouraging the body to maintain a more neutral, pain-free posture.
