Egypt’s next great opportunity may not be another building.

It may be what happens inside it.

Healthcare and medical tourism have the potential to become more than services. They can become an economic ecosystem — attracting international patients, global expertise, strategic partnerships, investment, and new opportunities for Egypt.

Egypt already has powerful assets: exceptional medical talent, sophisticated private-sector leadership, world-renowned hospitality, geographic advantage, and a global Egyptian community with relationships, expertise, and capital.

The opportunity is to connect those assets — and scale them.

This September, I am opening a limited number of strategic conversations in Egypt with investors, developers, healthcare leaders, family offices, and decision-makers who think beyond individual projects and see platforms, industries, and economic ecosystems.

The question is not whether Egypt can participate in the global healthcare economy.

The question is how large a role Egypt chooses to play.

My vision is clear: position Egypt as a global destination for healthcare and medical tourism while creating economic value, international partnerships, and lasting impact.

From Egypt to the world.
From the world to Egypt.

For those who see the opportunity — let’s start the conversation.

60 global entrepreneurs and investors are coming to Egypt.

But the real opportunity isn’t the visit — it’s what the visit could begin.

When global capital, expertise, and innovation meet Egypt’s talent, strategic location, and extraordinary potential, the question becomes:

How do we turn global attention into real economic value for Egypt?

Healthcare and medical tourism can be an important part of that answer — attracting investment and international spending, creating jobs, and building long-term strategic partnerships.

In September 2026, JT Foxx is coming to Cairo with 60 global entrepreneurs and investors.

This is more than a visit.

It is an opportunity to bring capital, expertise, and decision-makers to the same table — and turn global attention into real opportunities for Egypt.

I am not seeking funding for a personal project.

I am seeking the right conversations, with the right decision-makers, around an opportunity worthy of a place on Egypt’s economic agenda.

From Egypt to the world.
From the world to Egypt.

Egypt doesn’t need to prove its potential. It already has it. 🇪🇬

The real question is:

How do we turn that potential into global trust — and global trust into economic opportunity for Egypt?

After decades in medicine and healthcare in the United States and internationally, I see an extraordinary opportunity for Egypt to become a global destination for healthcare, longevity, and medical tourism.

Egypt already has many of the ingredients: exceptional physicians and healthcare professionals, expanding medical infrastructure, a strategic geographic location, world-renowned hospitality, and a destination the world already knows.

But becoming a global healthcare destination requires more than excellent facilities.

It requires quality the world can trust, an exceptional patient experience, international collaboration, strategic investment, and a vision that connects healthcare, tourism, hospitality, and economic development.

I am coming back to Egypt not to tell Egypt what to do.

I am coming to listen, collaborate, and bring together people with the vision, expertise, influence, and investment capacity to help turn an extraordinary opportunity into reality.

From quality comes trust.
From trust comes global opportunity.

And from that opportunity, we can build something much bigger:

Better health. New investment. Medical tourism. Jobs. International partnerships. Economic growth.

The opportunity is here.
The vision is taking shape.

Now we need the right people at the table.

Some of the most important decisions begin when the room gets quiet.

After decades in medicine, leadership, and working across institutions and countries, I’ve learned that clarity rarely comes from talking more. Sometimes it comes from listening better.

As I prepare to return to Egypt, I’m thinking less about what I want to say — and more about what I need to understand from the physicians, leaders, innovators, and institutions already shaping its future.

Egypt already has extraordinary talent and deep medical experience.

The opportunity is to listen carefully to where those strengths can connect even more powerfully with innovation, prevention, precision medicine, education, and international collaboration.

Before we talk about what Egypt should build next, we should understand what is already working — and where the greatest opportunity lies.

So I want to ask:

What should Egypt’s healthcare leaders be listening to right now?

I left Egypt many years ago. But I never stopped carrying Egypt with me.

The countries, institutions, and people I encountered abroad expanded my experience and changed the way I see medicine, leadership, and what becomes possible when the right people work together.

But experience only becomes meaningful when it serves a purpose.

As I prepare to return to Egypt, I am thinking less about coming back to where my journey started—and more about what could happen when Egyptian talent, international experience, and a shared commitment to better healthcare meet again.

I am coming home to listen, reconnect, and contribute.

For Egyptians who have built lives abroad: what would you most want to bring home with you?

Egypt shaped who I am. The world expanded what I could become.

My journey has taken me across countries, institutions, disciplines, and cultures—but distance never changed where my roots are.

Egypt gave me identity, resilience, and a deep respect for the human side of medicine. The world gave me experience, perspective, and relationships that expanded what I believed was possible.

Today, I don’t see those two parts of my life as separate.

I belong to both—and I believe some of the strongest bridges are built by people who understand both worlds.

As I prepare to return to Egypt, that is the perspective I am bringing home.

Have you ever felt that you belong to more than one world?

Dr. Dalal Akoury

What if Egypt's greatest export was never meant to be a product?

For decades, the world has known Egypt for its history, culture, and hospitality. But Egypt has another strength with growing global relevance: health, longevity, and human potential.

Egypt already has exceptional physicians, respected universities, clinical expertise, research capability, and the human side of medicine that technology can never replace.

The opportunity now is to connect those strengths more powerfully — prevention, precision medicine, healthy longevity, innovation, research, and international collaboration.

Health is more than a service.

It can strengthen human capital, attract opportunity, and expand Egypt's global relevance.

As I return to Egypt this September, this is one of the questions I want to explore with the people already shaping its future:

What could make Egypt a global destination for healthcare excellence?

Egypt does not need to copy another country’s healthcare system.

It has an opportunity to build something the world may one day want to study.

Egypt already has extraordinary physicians, respected universities, deep clinical experience and something medicine must never lose: the human side of care.

Imagine bringing those strengths together with prevention, precision medicine, research, technology and international collaboration.

The question is not:
Which healthcare model should Egypt copy?

The question is:
What healthcare model could Egypt create for the world?

I am coming to Egypt with that question—and I want to hear from the people helping shape its future.

What would you put at the heart of an Egyptian model of healthcare excellence?

Dr. Dalal Akoury

A headline can make someone visible. Only decades of work can make them matter.

Leadership is not built in a moment.

It is built quietly—through years of showing up, making difficult decisions, accepting responsibility, learning from failure, serving others, and continuing when recognition never comes.

After more than four decades in medicine, I have learned that the most meaningful measure of leadership is not how often your name appears in the spotlight.

It is what remains because you were there.

The people you helped.
The professionals you mentored.
The doors you opened.
The institutions you strengthened.
The ideas you carried forward.

As I look toward Egypt, I see an extraordinary opportunity to bring together experienced leaders and a new generation of physicians, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators.

Not simply to create attention.

To create something that lasts.

Because Egypt’s next chapter will not be written by headlines alone. It will be built by people willing to do the work—together.

If you are building something meaningful for Egypt’s future, I would be honored to connect.

Egypt should not compete on price. It should compete on trust, excellence, and experience.

World-class healthcare is more than advanced technology, beautiful facilities, or internationally trained physicians.

It is the moment a patient feels safe enough to cross a border.

It is the confidence a family feels placing someone they love in another country’s hands.

And it is the experience that makes them return home saying:

“Egypt cared for us.”

That is where healthcare becomes more than medicine.

It becomes reputation.
It becomes medical tourism.
It becomes international confidence.
It becomes investment.
And ultimately, it becomes economic opportunity.

Egypt already has extraordinary physicians, remarkable hospitality, history recognized around the world, and a location connecting continents.

The opportunity is to bring those strengths together and create a healthcare experience worthy of global trust.

I believe Egypt can become not simply a place people visit — but a place people choose for their health, their families, their investments, and their future.

If you share that vision for Egypt, I would welcome the conversation.
