Rooted in Strength, Growing with Purpose

This beautiful moment captured under the strong, grounding presence of this tree perfectly reflects the inspiration behind my health coaching journey. Just like a tree with deep roots, true health—both mental and physical—requires a strong foundation.

Life will challenge us. Storms will come. But when we cultivate resilience, nourish our minds and bodies, and stay committed to our growth, we can weather anything.

Your health journey isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about mental endurance, self-love, and never giving up—no matter how tough the road gets. Keep going, stay rooted, and trust the process.

What does being brave mean to you?

To me, it means…

Do not abandon yourself to please the crowd.

Brave means living from the inside out. Brave means, in every uncertain moment, turn to your gut wisdom, your intuition, and trust it.

Sometimes being brave requires letting the crowd think you’re a coward. Sometimes being brave means letting everyone down but yourself.

Brave is being true to yourself. Having integrity.

Brave is not asking the crowd how to be brave. Brave is deciding for oneself.

Mondays get a bad rap. But they also give us the chance to start fresh. So here is a tip to make the most of it.

Today, let’s talk about visualization. 👀

Research shows imagining what it'll look like to reach your goals will help you, well, reach them.

So, new Monday morning activity: breathe deep, and develop a vivid image of your future – with an eye toward the positive🙌

There is a positive intention behind everything we are experiencing.

The month of February was the perfect month to stop drinking because it takes 28 days to create a new habit … and there were 28 days in February this year!

What I noticed NOT DRINKING for 28 days:
✨Better skin
✨Better sleep
✨Clear headed
✨Motivated to workout
✨Self-control

I also noticed when I crave a drink:
1. When I’m stressed
2. In social gatherings
3. Around 5/6pm when the sun goes down
4. Boredom

For me it was all about creating a new habit around the times I craved that alcoholic drink. Am I drinking because I’m stressed or bored, or is it because I’m celebrating with friends and I want to enhance my good vibes?

Beverages I grabbed instead of alcohol:
✨Water
✨Sparkling water
✨Kombucha
✨Juice
✨Coconut Water
✨Tea
✨Mocktail drink

🎉 With March being my birthday month I will likely celebrate with friends and a little bubbly 🥂 but I will definitely keep in mind what I’ve learned this past month!!

Cheers to each and every one of you!!!

We made it through one of the toughest years I’ve ever experienced. 2020 was not easy. We all had plans and then COVID-19 happened. A year of social distance, wash your hands, wear a mask, repeat... Everyday routines might not look like they used to.

If you’ve been working on creating healthier habits or looking to do so in the new year, remember to trust the process. Just because you might not be able to see your results on the surface just yet do not underestimate your actions done day to day. They will gain momentum and you’ll see the result you were hoping for.

I like the definition a friend of mine shared: ⠀
“Success is making the most of who you are with what you’ve got.”⠀

Every person has the potential to make a positive impact on the world. Success is not measured by the amount of money you possess or the position you attain but rather in what you do with what you’ve got.

Dear Facebook Family, ⠀

We’re officially half-way through 2020 . . . and what a year it has been! Amid the unprecedented circumstances we've faced, many were forced to make significant life adjustments. And let’s be honest, these changes can cause massive amounts of stress. Can you relate? If so, I wouldn’t be surprised if you're still carrying some of the effects in your body and mind.⠀

Whether we have to deal with the same stresses in the second half of 2020, we want to finish the year well—emotionally healthy and present in our relationships—and so it’s vitally important that we release the stresses we may be carrying in order to create some capacity in our lives.⠀

Proper food, sleep, and recreation keep the body strong. If you are the busy type, establish a daily quiet time to energize your spirit. Take time for reflection. Make necessary changes. Find balance. Take care of yourself. When you set aside time to renew yourself, you’ll then have the energy to face trials and love others well in the process.⠀

My hope is that, as you strip away the stresses and weights you may be carrying from the first half of the year, you become much more prepared to finish out the second half well.⠀

Always Rooting For You,⠀
Lindsey Herring 🤙🏽
