There’s something special about a team that stands beside each other year after year. Through hard days, long hours, challenges, growth, laughter, and countless patient victories.

This week, we’re celebrating Dan as he leaves The Orchards after 16 incredible years to pursue a new opportunity as a Director of Rehabilitation. While it’s hard to imagine our therapy team without him, we could not be more proud to watch him step into a role he has worked so hard for.

Dan has been such a huge part of the foundation of this department and the culture we’ve built together. The strength of our team has never come from titles or individual accomplishments — it comes from the way we support each other, trust each other, and continue showing up together for our patients every single day.

Receiving the Cascadia “Better Together” Award felt especially meaningful because it reflects exactly who this team is at its core.

Dan, thank you for the years of dedication, leadership, and heart you gave to this building and this team. Your impact here is lasting, and you’ll be deeply missed.

Once Orchards family, always Orchards family. 💚🌳

This is why we do what we do.

Not for awards. Not for recognition.

For her.

For the people who come through our doors on some of the hardest days of their lives… scared, tired, uncertain if they’ll ever get back to who they were.

We don’t look like much from the outside.
We’re not the biggest building. We’re not the fanciest.

But inside… there are moments like this.
Smiles that didn’t exist at one point.
Steps that once felt impossible.
Hope that had to be rebuilt from the ground up.

We get to meet people in the middle of their story, and help them find their way back to life.

Being named Idaho’s Best Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility means everything to us… because it isn’t about us.

It’s about the lives that walk back out of these doors stronger than when they came in.

At Orchards of Cascadia, we refuse to measure people by limitations.

We believe in possibility. We believe in purpose. And we believe that a person’s goals deserve to be honored, never dismissed.

When a patient brings the courage to dream and the determination to work, and our therapy team brings skill, compassion, and unwavering belief, lives are transformed.

Because of that partnership, this individual now lives independently, drives, gives back through volunteering, and shows up fully as a present father to his son.

This is more than recovery.
This is resilience.
This is what happens when hope is met with action.

Every day, we are reminded: when we believe in people, they rise. 💚🌳
