We schedule meetings, workouts, appointments, and errands, but when do we schedule rest?

Constant notifications, emails, social media, and busy schedules can leave our minds feeling overwhelmed.

This week, challenge yourself to spend 10-15 minutes doing absolutely nothing:
🌿 Sit outside
📖 Read a book
🧘 Take a few deep breaths
🚶 Go for a quiet walk

Sometimes productivity starts with slowing down.

You don't have to overhaul your entire diet to improve your health.

Small changes add up. A little more water. A little less processed food. A few better choices throughout the week.

Healthy living isn't about perfection, it's about consistency.

What's one simple food swap you've made that you actually enjoy?

Hydration is one of the simplest ways to support your body. 💧

Water plays a role in energy, focus, digestion, and overall wellness, and when the weather heats up or you're more active, your fluid needs can increase.

💧 Sip throughout the day
🥗 Get electrolytes from whole foods when possible
☀️ Pay extra attention during hot weather
🚰 Make plain water your everyday go-to
Small habits add up. Keep that water bottle close!

Are you wanting to get labs ran so you can finally get some answers? Consider the benefits of paying cash for your labs. Dr. Butterfield has a partnership with Quest and Labcorp and is able to get extensive testing very inexpensively which can save you the time, hassle, and ultimately money that you pay through insurance. For $70 we can get a CBC, CMP, thyroid panel, metabolic assessment (blood sugar, HbA1c, insulin), Vitamin D, and cholesterol panel. Sadly, I’ve seen a hospital charge thousands of dollars to run this basic panel. We have no markup on our labs, we want them to be accessible to you. Enjoy the benefits of extensive, quality testing for an affordable cash price 👍🏻
Insurance can be very important for emergency situations, we recommend that that is what you use it for.

Plastic toxicity is all the rage these days. I absolutely agree that you should minimize your plastic intake. If you drink from plastic, it should not be left out in the sun (grocery stores and convenience stores do this ALL THE TIME). You should also maximize your intake of clean, high quality water. Drink at least half your body’s weight in ounces. Getting a glass or stainless steel water bottle is ideal, but it should be washed regularly with soap. Drink only filtered, purified, RO, or spring water. Do NOT add anything to your water, only water hydrates.

Did you know that getting sunlight within the first hour of waking up may help improve your sleep later that night?

Morning sunlight helps regulate your body's internal clock, supports healthy hormone production, boosts mood, and can improve energy levels throughout the day.

Try spending 10–15 minutes outside each morning. Enjoy your coffee on the patio, take a short walk, or simply sit in the sunshine.

Sometimes the simplest habits can have the biggest impact on your health.

☀️ Better sleep
☀️ Better mood
☀️ More energy
☀️ Better overall well-being

Living with POTS often means learning what helps your body.

Depending on the individual and their medical needs, management may include hydration, increased sodium, compression garments, carefully structured exercise and other treatments recommended by a healthcare provider.

There isn't one solution that works for everyone. The goal is to understand your triggers, work with your healthcare team and build a plan that supports your daily life.
