Two of the most special kitty girls have crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈✨
Bagheera (May) and Gurdy (June) 🤍🖤
It’s taken me a while to make this post because losing both our girls so close together was absolutely devastating, it feels more real when I talk about it even though I walk by their paw prints every day.
They had amazing lives- I think everyone has a soul animal and how fortunate Paul and I were to have ours together under one roof.
Paul got Bags when she was just a tiny kitten who could fit in the palm of his hand. Bright and full of energy, weird sounds, and high jumps, you’d see her running up the wall to catch a laser or peeling out around the couch like she was a rally car.
I loved her like she was my own kitty, and I loved watching the love of my life love her.
She would always greet us at the door, excited to see you with her tail vibrating.
If you had a bad day, she’d let you hold her as long as you needed to and even if you had a normal day, she would aggressively cuddle you anyways because CAT.
She was always my little helper. She sat on my lap while I got ready in the morning she would perch up on the back of my shoulder anytime I was painting in the garage and even when I cooked, we called that the Catatouille 🤌
Then came Gurdy! You could say the 2 cat adjustment was… Quite a long time- Enemies in life, sisters, in death 🤍🖤
Gurdy was my first animal I raised in my adult life, even though she was already 6 when I adopted her I felt like she was a piece of my soul coming back to me.
The night I had her home for the first time she looked at me like she understood that I was her person now, she snuggled in my arms and didn’t let me go. My heart was so full it was bursting. I was overwhelmed with love.
The night before we spent extra time together in bed, I was holding her in my arms like I normally do before we go to sleep and giving her lots of extra kisses.
Losing her was so sudden. Just like her first night with me, so was her last morning.
Snuggled in my arms I didn’t want to let go, my heart was bursting.
I’m grateful you chose me and thank you for healing me Gurdy Girl 🤍
Thank you for reading if you made it this far🤍
