Consider this your official permission slip for the long weekend. 💜

During back-to-school season, sometimes the best thing for the whole family is doing a little less.

Maybe that means leaving the cookout before everyone hits their limit. Maybe it's bringing the headphones, sticking with the familiar food, skipping an activity, or protecting an entire day with absolutely nothing on the calendar.

A child's progress is strongest when everyone supporting them is working toward the same goals. That's why Strategy Conferences are a core part of what we do at Pediatric Therapy and Integrative Health

These meetings bring together caregivers and providers to review what's working, adjust what's isn't, celebrate progress, and make sure each next step is intentional. Because when communication stays consistent, children gain the space to flourish 💜

That’s why every family receiving ongoing services in our ABA department participates in regularly scheduled Aurora Strategy Conferences. During these collaborative meetings, your child’s therapy team meets together with you to review progress, celebrate successes, identify new priorities, and coordinate treatment across disciplines.

Instead of receiving separate updates from each therapist, you’ll leave with one unified plan developed together. Your Aurora Strategy Conference may include:

💜Board Certified Behavior Analyst
💜Occupational Therapist (when involved)
💜Other members of your child’s treatment team

One of the things we love about welcoming interns to Aurora is getting to be part of the next generation of professionals who will care for children and families. 💜

We celebrated Emma Santiago on both her final day with Aurora Pediatric Therapy and Integrative Health AND her last Friday as an undergraduate student last week!

Emma has officially completed her internship and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. 🎓

We’re grateful for the curiosity, energy, and perspective interns like Emma bring to our practice and we love being able to give future clinicians meaningful, hands-on experience alongside our interdisciplinary team.

Next up, Emma plans to pursue clinical psychology...unless we can convince her that becoming a BCBA is the way to go. 😉

Congratulations, Emma! We’re so excited to see where you go from here. 💜
