Walking peacefully through the neighborhood with my personal bodyguard 💅🏼🐶

Meanwhile my “security detail” is a 17 lb "Teddy Bear" named Mocha who would absolutely sell me out for a chicken nugget.

But for real… summer walks are one of the easiest ways to boost your mood, lower stress, improve digestion, and sneak in extra movement without feeling like “exercise.” ☀️

A few summer walking tips:
✔️ Walk early morning or later evening to avoid peak heat
✔️ Bring water for BOTH of you
✔️ Touch the pavement first — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws
✔️ Wear light colors + sunscreen
✔️ Stay aware of your surroundings (even if your bodyguard weighs more than your purse 😂)

Movement doesn’t have to be extreme to change your health. Sometimes it’s just you, your thoughts, and your tiny fluffy protector against the world.

Welcome to Maycember…
where the coffee is cold, the calendar is violent, dinner is whatever survived the backseat, and somehow every child needs 14 things signed by tomorrow. 😵‍💫

Field days.
Concerts.
Sports banquets.
Teacher gifts.
Spirit weeks.
Graduations.
And one kid crying at 9pm because they forgot poster board. 🙃

The sun is so confusing 😂

We’re told:☀️ Get sunlight for vitamin D☀️ It improves your mood☀️ Helps your sleep☀️ Supports your metabolism☀️ Reduces stress

But also:🧴 Wear sunscreen🧴 Avoid peak hours🧴 Too much sun ages your skin🧴 Increases skin cancer risk

So now I’m outside trying to absorb “healthy sunshine” while simultaneously hiding from it like a vampire with SPF 50. 😅
