Your body is constantly giving you information, especially when you’re moving

Listening to your body during exercise can mean slowing down, taking a break, fueling when you’re hungry, changing your workout, or choosing rest.

You don’t have to push through every signal to prove you’re doing enough.” Learning to notice what your body needs and respond with care can help create a healthier relationship with exercise.

Save this as a reminder: your body deserves to be listened to.

Sometimes guilt can show up after eating, especially when diet culture has taught us to believe we need to “make up” for certain foods or meals.

But eating isn’t something you need to fix or earn. Food can provide nourishment, connection, comfort, joy, and so much more.

If guilt shows up, try giving yourself permission to take a breath, have your next meal or snack, and keep going. Your body deserves care and consistency, even on the days when eating feels complicated.

Save this as a reminder for the days you need a little extra compassion.

All-or-nothing thinking can be sneaky.

It may show up around food, but it can also affect how we view recovery, work, exercise, relationships, and even ourselves.

When we see things as either “good” or “bad,” “successful” or “failed,” it leaves very little room for the reality of being human.

There is often a middle ground, and you don’t have to earn your way into it

You don’t need a long hike or a weekend getaway. Start small: step outside, take a breath, notice what’s around you, and give yourself permission to slow down.

Food date labels can be confusing. In the U.S., most dates are about quality, not food safety. Learning what labels like Best By, Sell By, and Use By actually mean can help you make more informed decisions and reduce unnecessary food waste.

Remember: the date is just one factor. Proper storage and signs of spoilage matter, too.

Mealtimes can be one of the most challenging parts of eating disorder recovery, but they can also be an opportunity to offer support, comfort, and connection.

You don’t need to have all the right words. Keeping conversations light, creating a calm environment, and simply being present can make a meaningful difference. Small acts of patience and compassion can help your loved one feel supported throughout their recovery journey.
