This week, we'll explore how our practice reflects our values, mindset, resilience, and authenticity. Notice what arises when poses become challenging. Observe how you speak to yourself, what you avoid and what you celebrate. Every asana is a reflection of the strengths you bring and the growth that awaits.

"Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive." — Elbert Hubbard

Have you ever considered taking your yoga practice less seriously? To experience practice with the levity of play is an experiment for the nervous system. When discipline meets playfulness, we still show up but let go of outcome. This is usually the space where we can find new skills, a deeper breath, and a recommitment to yoga itself. This week, explore levity with us and see what arrives on the mat with you.

"Life is too important to be taken seriously" Oscar Wilde

One of the greatest lessons yoga teaches us is the importance of levity. In order to touch the lightness in movement, we have to understand that organization and self-awareness comes first. This week at Naples Yoga and Movement Center, your teacher will guide you through the levity process, and show you how levity is both grounded and spacious at the same time.

Offer yourself some gentleness this weekend by leaving time to move and breathe with us. Your mat is a space to process experience so that it can be integrated or released. You may show up for the movement, but the important work is this self-inquiry.

When we move the body gently with receptivity, the poses themselves begin to teach us. We begin to listen for the quiet places where the body and breath speak, guiding us away from force and tension.

“Be softer with you. You are a breathing thing, a memory to someone, a home to a life.” — Nayyirah Waheed

Practice can be a contemplation of the unseen architecture that holds us up, including the willingness to hold ourselves gently. We can notice the breath that steadies but is not forceful. We can feel the stabilizing muscles that organize an inner levity. This week's practice is an invitation to honor the softer forces beneath the surface, and to honor what holds you with tenderness, not tension.

"There beneath all the thinking and doing, you are at peace." -Tamara Verma

Join us in a class this weekend to recognize the peace that is already within you. The yoga practice is a way to uncover and recover the sense of self that lies dormant as you strive to meet goals and perform. When you give that a rest, and when you can rest, peace emerges truthfully and completely.

It is time to honor the sacredness of what feels unfinished or is in process. The breath that is out of rhythm or a pose that feels wobbly is not a failure, it is actually a tender space of becoming.
This week we accept the invitation to a practice that is taking shape and the process that wants to be discovered.

When we desire something in the practice, such as a new skill, it is a human tendency to meet what is missing with a sense of urgency. In a rush to change the circumstances, it is tempting to fast-track progress by resisting the work that is necessary to step fully into a new space.

What if we met what feels unfinished with tenderness instead? This week we explore the beauty of what is still in process, still forming, still becoming. We can explore this space with a curious and open heart, and reframe a sense of lack by seeing what is already there instead of what is missing.
