🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Service! 🎉

This August marks 10 years since the SART Clinic opened its doors in 2016! 💙

Over the past decade, we have had the privilege of providing compassionate, specialized care to more than 580 patients in our community during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Our clinic is powered by a dedicated team of five forensic nurses, and we are especially proud that Sharla and Sarah have been part of the SART Clinic since day one. Ten years later, the commitment to providing trauma-informed, patient-centered care remains just as strong.

But we would not be here without the incredible people and organizations who support this work. We are so thankful for the collaboration of our law enforcement agencies, advocates, healthcare providers, prosecutors, Children’s Advocacy Centers, and community partners who work alongside us to care for survivors.

A very special thank you to The Center for Child and Family Advocacy, Inc.for doing so much behind the scenes to support our clinic and keep us moving forward, and to the Four County ADAMhs BoardADAMhs for the funding that helps make these services possible.

10 years. More than 580 patients served. One incredible community of people working together. 💙

We are grateful for where we started, proud of how far we have come, and honored to continue serving our communities.

💙 Continuing to Learn. Continuing to Grow.

Some of our forensic nurses recently had the opportunity to attend the AFN Indy Forensic Nursing Conference, held July 22–23 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Continuing education is an important part of forensic nursing. Conferences like this give our nurses the opportunity to expand their knowledge, learn from other professionals in the field, and bring new information and best practices back to the patients and communities we serve.

We are proud of our nurses for their commitment to continued learning and professional growth. 💙

Advancing Pediatric Forensic Care Through Education 💙

We are proud to share that our pediatric forensic nurse attended the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 2026 Ohio Pediatric Forensic/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Conference.

This statewide conference brings together pediatric forensic and sexual assault nurse examiners to share best practices, strengthen clinical skills, and advance care for children and adolescents affected by abuse or violence.

Topics included evidence-based pediatric forensic care, trauma-informed communication with children and caregivers, and updates in medical forensic examination practices.

Ongoing education is essential to ensuring we provide the highest standard of care to the children and families we serve.

We are grateful for opportunities like this that support continued learning and strengthen our commitment to compassionate, expert pediatric forensic nursing care.

This colposcope will strengthen the SART Clinic's ability to provide comprehensive medical forensic examinations for survivors of violence. By improving injury visualization and documentation, this equipment enhances patient care, supports evidence collection, and helps ensure survivors receive the high-quality, trauma-informed services they deserve.
