Today marks the first extreme heat event of the year. High temperatures can be dangerous, especially early in the season when our bodies are not yet used to the heat.

Stay safe by:
☀️ Drinking plenty of water
☀️ Taking breaks in air conditioning or shade
☀️ Limiting strenuous outdoor activity
☀️ Checking on older adults, children, and pets
☀️ Never leaving children or pets in vehicles

Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and take the heat seriously.

Nos acompaña Robert Ortiz, Asistente Médico de Salud Pública de la División de Salud Pública y Servicios Comunitarios, quien desempeña un papel clave en el apoyo a programas comunitarios vitales como el programa LEAD Que significa Plomo y las iniciativas de inmunización.

Tambien nos acompaña Ebram Aziz, quien emigró de Egipto a los Estados Unidos con solo nueve años y ha construido una carrera inspiradora arraigada en el servicio y el liderazgo. Enfermera registrada durante casi siete años, Ebram aporta una formación diversa en la atención médica correccional, donde ascendió a Director de Enfermería en una prisión de máxima seguridad en Massachusetts, junto con experiencia en el departamento de emergencias, quirófano y salud pública. Hoy, se desempeña como Coordinador Principal de la División de Salud Pública y Servicios Comunitarios de la Ciudad de Nashua.
