Sunrise Tattoo is located in Nashvilleβs Germantown neighborhood in the Taylor Arts Collective building.
We first opened in 2020, following the COVID lockdowns.
After opening we began looking at some of the history of the our building. It was originally called Nashville Roller Mills, and dates back to the late 1800s when it was one of the biggest flour mills in the Southeast. It is situated along the train tracks which run alongside the Germantown greenway, behind our neighbors bearded iris brewing and past the Neuhoff District
The mill manufactured two main products, Rising Sun Self-rising Flour and Gloria flour. These were popular products, as home baking became more common, and Rising Sun made biscuit making more consistent.
Now 100 Taylor Arts Collective is home to our sister shop Sunrise Salon | Nashville TN as well as potters and ceramicists, artists and designers, photo video and podcast studios, private therapists spaces, and more.
