I don’t have this all figured out.

I’m not doing everything ā€œright.ā€

But I am learning.

Learning how my body works.
Learning what actually helps.
Learning what’s realistic for my life.

And honestly, that alone feels like progress.

Lately I’ve been thinking about this differently…

I’ve been reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, and one thing that’s really stuck with me is this idea:
šŸ‘‰ it’s not about the goal… it’s about my identity.

Not ā€œI want to be healthierā€
but ā€œI’m someone who takes care of her body.ā€

And for me, that’s been starting with getting spiritually aligned first.

Because when I’m in the Word…
when I’ve taken a moment to pray…
everything else feels a little clearer.

So instead of trying to fix everything at once, I’m asking:
Who do I want to be?

A woman who:
– spends time with God
– fuels her body well
– shows up with intention

And then just taking small steps in that direction.

Still learning. Still inconsistent some days.

But I think this is what building real habits actually looks like šŸ’›

Something I’ve been thinking about…

Every time I’ve tried to ā€œdietā€ in the past, it felt SO hard to stick with.

And I’m starting to realize—it might not have been a discipline issue.

If I’m constantly hungry…
low energy…
thinking about food all the time…

of course it’s hard.

I’m learning more about how things like protein + blood sugar + hormones all play a role, and it’s honestly shifting how I see this new journey for me.

I'm still learning. But this feels like a better direction. Thoughts?

Right now, I’m focusing on simple.

Things I’ve been reaching for more:
– Eggs in the morning
– Greek yogurt
– Leftovers instead of snacks
– Quick protein shakes

Doable high quality protein for my VERY real life.

I'm still figuring it out as I go—but keeping it simple already feels more sustainable.

I'm trying this: more protein at each meal.

One thing I’ve been learning lately… I probably (umm certainly) haven’t been eating enough protein.

So instead of overcomplicating it, I’m doing this:
šŸ‘‰ adding more protein to each meal

Not tracking perfectly.
Not hitting a magic number.

Just being more intentional.

From what I’m learning, it can help with:
– staying full longer
– fewer cravings
– more stable energy
- boosting metabolism

So I’m starting here and seeing how my body responds.

Not perfect.
Not consistent.
But still showing up.

And honestly… some days that looks like reheated coffee (or in my case tea), kids asking for snacks every 5 minutes, and me trying to remember if I even drank water šŸ™ƒ

For the longest time, I thought I had to ā€œget it togetherā€ before I could make progress. At one point I thought I had it together!

But real life doesn’t work like that—especially as a mum.

What I’ve learned along the way and am still learning is this:
🄰Small steps still count.
🄰Even messy ones.
🄰Even inconsistent ones.

Because it’s not about doing everything right…
it’s about not giving up on yourself. I am preaching to myself here trust me!

So, be encouraged, if all you did today was try a little harder than yesterday—that matters šŸ’›
