Nashville Right To Life

Nashville Right To Life Elemental justice demands that this basic right be protected by law.

We at Nashville Right to Life promote, uphold, and support reverence and respect for human life without regard to condition, quality, age, religion, race, creed, or color, whether born or unborn. This committment is derived from a belief that each human being, from the time of fertilization to natural death, has an immeasurable dignity and unalienable right to life. We recognize that society today

places great emphasis on the quality of life, but we must not let our concern for quality override our concern for life itself.

PRAYER & FASTING -For Life, Stacy Dunn, President TN Right to Life

It’s back-to-school time in Tennessee. Supplies have been purchased, classrooms readied, and lesson plans prepared. Kindergarten students all the way up to post-graduate college students will begin to explore new and exciting things.

However, sometimes what is taught in our schools, after-school programs and especially in many college classes can be very dangerous. Planned Parenthood offers curricula, speakers and demonstrations to our teachers, program directors and administrators under the premise of reaching students with a message of “safe and responsible actions”. In reality, their programs and materials of ANYTHING GOES are shocking and sickening to many of the students who are held captive in the classroom. When a brave student tries to speak up against the deception, he or she is shamed into silence by the instructor or fellow students.

How do we protect our students and set them free with the truth?

We often hear that some of the current problems facing our country began when prayer was taken out of schools. But what has stopped those of us “on the outside” from storming Heaven on behalf of the students and teachers inside the building? Isn’t it time to take seriously our duty to pray?

Nothing is too big or too bad for God. Let us combat the deception of Planned Parenthood and the Culture of Death with every opportunity to be disciples of TRUTH!

This week, let us fast and pray:
That our schools will become beacons of light and life in our communities. Every time you drive by a school or college, pray for a spirit of TRUTH to touch all the students, teachers and administrators. God will honor your consistent prayer.
That teachers will be given wisdom, strength and patience so that they can teach and disciple students for the future and for eternity.
That administrators will seek programs and materials that will spread TRUTH and goodness in each and every student and reject programs that promote death and destruction.
That parents will take their role as educators seriously and actively teach their children the TRUTH about life and love.
That Sunday School teachers will find opportunities to teach what scripture says about the beauty and sanctity of LIFE.

Thank you for praying and fasting for an end to abortion.

🙏PRAYER & FASTING: For Life, Stacy Dunn, President
TN Right to Life

And He told them many things in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they had not much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched; and since they had no root they withered away. Other seeds fell upon thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.”-Matthew 13:3-9

At a recent training for Tennessee Right to Life volunteers, participants went through the essentials of working the educational booth. The face-to-face interactions at the display are some of the best opportunities to reach our friends and neighbors with the TRUTH about LIFE and to change hearts and save lives.

The volunteers were reminded that no encounter is ever wasted. God uses every word, every action and even every smile to accomplish His will.

At the booth, volunteers are encouraged to take the visitor from where they are in their “life journey” and simply take them to the next step. A volunteer may not change an opinion or convert someone to the pro-life position at this one moment, but he or she will be able to plant a seed.

Jesus’ explanation of the parable of the sower is definitely relatable to what volunteers encounter at the booth:
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path. You know this person – the person who should know the TRUTH but has turned his/her back on scientific facts about unborn children saying, “It’s not a person, or it’s only a clump of cells.”
Without any explanation, the fetal models speak truth to the humanity of the child developing in the womb.

As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. One of the most tragic examples of this situation is when previously acclaimed pro-life parents or friends falter when their loved one is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or a life-limiting diagnosis for an unborn child.

The compassionate ear of the booth volunteer who offers information on the local pregnancy center and help that is available can truly be a lifesaver in this instance.

As for what was sown among thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the delight in riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. This describes the apathetic person who glances at the booth and the beautiful fetal models only in passing, not wanting to engage in conversation or be seen by others spending time at the table. They know the truth but don’t want to be bothered.

The smile of the volunteer and an offer of a life-saver candy oftentimes can break the ice just enough to allow the Holy Spirit to enter.

As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; he indeed bears fruit, and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” This is the person who has been looking for an opportunity to get involved with pro-life work. They have been feeling a nudge to get active in the life-saving work of TRL. They want to buy a t-shirt, be a part of the Legislative Action Alerts, give a donation or get more information about volunteering.

The person at the booth is there to connect these pro-life folks to pro-life action, so that they are able to bear much fruit – a hundredfold, sixty and thirty.
Praise be to God!

This week, please fast and pray for opportunities to prepare the soil and plant the seed of LIFE. Every billboard, presentation, sermon, Sunday School lesson and conversation is an opportunity to prepare good soil so that when the seed falls, LIFE can bloom.

Thank you for praying and fasting for an end to abortion.
County fairs are taking place across the state. Please contact the TRL office if you would like to be a part of this important outreach opportunity or if you would like to attend a Volunteer Training in your area.

💥HB2380 by Representative Bryan Terry would allow Tennessee's Attorney General to pursue civil claims and sanctions against out-of-state abortion pill providers.

This legislation would reinforce HB0005, which allows individuals to pursue claims against abortionists, by allowing the Attorney General to also pursue claims against abortionists.

💥HB2290 by Representative Ryan Williams (R-Cookeville) creates a regulatory framework for IVF clinics, which would require state licensure, inspection and a bond with the State. Currently in Tennessee, there is very little oversight or regulation of the IVF industry. This bill will ensure that Tennessee IVF facilities and personnel are equipped and qualified in this very specialized field of technology according to state standards. This is an important step in protecting embryos and parents using assisted reproductive technology.

📌BOTH HB 2380 and HB2290 are scheduled to be heard on the House Floor TODAY, Monday, April 13, starting at 2:00 pm CST. Please contact your Representative and ask him/her to vote YES on HB 2380 and HB2290.
