Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the difference between intuition and anxiety.
Sometimes I think I’m “seeking clarity,” but really I’m spiraling. Checking for certainty. Trying to get ahead of uncertainty before I’ve actually slowed down enough to feel what’s happening in my body.
And honestly, I don’t think I’m alone in that.
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed how easy it is to use spirituality, information, or over-analysis as a way to cope with nervous system overwhelm. Especially for sensitive people living in a world that constantly feels loud, fast, uncertain, and overstimulating.
So instead of immediately reaching for answers outside myself, I’ve been practicing something different:
grounding first.
Breath.
Movement.
Humming.
EFT.
Walking.
Somatic tools that help me reconnect with my body and build trust with myself again.
