I get this message at least once a week: "I typed my client as a Nine and it was such a lightbulb moment...now I have no idea what to do with that information."

I used to think confidence was a trait; something you're either born with or without. Turns out the word itself says otherwise: confidence comes from the Latin con fides, "with faith." Not something you're issued. Something you practice, one act of showing up at a time.

Confidence doesn't feel confident while you're building it. That's the whole point—faith goes first, the feeling catches up later.
