Spring into Summer

Newsflash: Here’s what you’ll see on the hair front over the next couple of months. (And a few things you won’t.)

IN
• Shoulder-length hair…beautifully coiffed and shiny.
• Piece-y, short hair. (Adds my pal, Design Director Stephen Wang: “Anyone who tries those new, at-home Ombre kits will most likely be rocking this shorter haircut not long after.”) Point well made.
• The lightest “brownette” base with very soft, sunny highlights at the nape, mid lengths, and framing the face.
• Soft, champagne-beige blondes with pale strands of hair surrounding the face.
• The Michelle Obama Bang or a soft version of a fringe: An instant update to anyone’s look.
• Golden, sunny-based reds and brunettes with pops of dark caramel woven throughout. It’s dramatic yet soft.
• Loose, feminine ponytails.

OUT
• Tight curls.
• Super-poker-straight hair.
