Perhaps Jesus wasn’t asking us to become childish.

Perhaps He was inviting us to remember something we had forgotten.

He said that to enter the Kingdom of God, we must become like little children.

I’ve heard those words most of my life, but yesterday they unfolded inside me in a completely different way.

Children don’t stand in a field asking,

“Is this the last bubble?”

They don’t stop to calculate how many are left.

They don’t mourn the one that floated away.

They laugh.

They reach.

They run after the one floating right in front of them.

Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped chasing bubbles and started chasing certainty.

We wanted to know how the story would end before we allowed ourselves to enjoy the chapter we were living.

Yesterday something shifted in me.

I stopped trying to define every conversation.
I stopped trying to predict every outcome.
I stopped asking tomorrow to explain today.

Instead, I simply became curious.

And do you know what I found?

Wonder.

Perhaps growing up was never meant to leave our childhood behind.

Perhaps it was always meant to become the guardian of it.

Maybe wisdom doesn’t replace wonder.

Maybe true wisdom is what finally makes wonder safe enough to come home.

Today, instead of asking how your story ends…

Go chase the bubble that’s floating in front of you.

Watch the firework without wondering how many are left.

Receive the conversation that’s right in front of you.

Smile at the stranger.

Notice the sunset.

And quietly ask yourself…

“What is this moment showing me?”

I have a feeling that’s much closer to the Kingdom than we often realize.

But what we repeatedly watch, consume, and focus on becomes part of our inner landscape.

What if reprogramming wasn’t always about doing more work on yourself?
