I've wanted to talk about this for a few weeks now, just trying to find the right words...
I've been struggling, and I talk to a lot of people that do the same thing as me.
Why do we NOT do what we know we SHOULD BE doing?🤔
Aside from being a health care provider, I've spent a lot of time studying over the years, weight training, and learning the right foods and actions to take to stay healthy and fit...so WHY don't I do it? 🤷♀️
For me, in the past, when I did my best I've found I just changed my mindset, or had a goal to lose weight for something special, but that hasn't worked much over the last few years.
Do good for a few weeks, then stress, work exhaustion, depression, who knows what...all seem to creep in and I give in to bad habits, toxic foods, things that feel good for the moment, then immediately after you feel the guilt, shame, bloating, GI issues, sluggish, yucky feels...😩
Do any of you relate??👋
I'm trying hard to get a hold of this.
Just losing weight, a number on a scale, those things are not sustainable...what do you do when you reach that goal?
It's about more than this.
I've listened to several podcasts recently and although about different subjects, the message was similar.
Are you just wearing the t-shirt?👚
OR are you working to "become" what's on that shirt? 🏋♀️
Do we wear our crosses and child of God shirts, but not reading the word daily? ✝️
Are we wearing our workout clothes, but not doing the daily actions or habits that a "fit" person does?🏃♀️
If we desire to be fit, desire to be healthy, desire to be whatever it is...we have to "become" that person.
How do we do this?
How do you know what these people do?
You have to hang out with them, learn their habits, start practicing those habits, slowly changing ourselves to the point these daily "actions" just become a part of who we are. 💯
And its not about being perfect all the time, or saying you can never eat a sweet or piece of pizza the rest of your life. Its about knowing when, how much, and how often you can do it and stay on track overall.😉
My action habits that I am beginning to work on that I've learned most fit, healthy people do...👇
⚡️Get up early every day at 0530 and get the workout in (will skip call days for now, 2 per week)
⚡️ Prep and actually eat what is planned and prepped.
⚡️ Read my Bible 10 mins daily
⚡️ Read or listen to personal development daily
⚡️ 10 mins meditation/prayer 1st thing.
⚡️Log everything on my spreadsheet for my own accountability
I want to change. I want to "become" the person I see in my head and know I can be.
Yes, I want to lose weight, gain muscle, but not just for now...for my life. 💚💚
What are some things you are doing to "become" a better version of you?
Comment and share here some tips you have found so we can support each other 😀
