As are almost everyone’s, my life has been a little under construction🛠️ as I have had to reevaluate my priorities lately; I assure everyone I will be coming back stronger than ever! I have still been helping families at a more low key pace and can’t wait to share a small tid bit from my last delivery soon!

But the news lately has my heart torn in so many different directions. It’s almost impossible to have not come across the Lindsay Clancy trial and I want to take the time to come back here and bring awareness to every aspect of this scenario. Although absolutely heart breaking, to take it piece by piece and consider the information that led to this tragedy, it is heavy on every mom, family, healthcare worker, or true family supporter in any way. This situation as a whole is everyone’s worst nightmare yet a reality in different degrees all around each and every one of us. Such a huge part of my passion to start this project was to be in the realm of so many who were living these lives in secret and having the physical urge to know that I must help these women. For all who are struggling, may someone close to you help be your foundation that holds you up while you find your ground back to walk on. The only people who fail are those who quit trying, and even in your darkest hours, I assure you, there is always someone who is out there eager and ready to pull you back out of that water before you drown💕

Why is this trial catching so much attention? Not only because of its crime, but there is some part of this story that draws you in. Any one of these details. It’s either part of your story, your sisters, your friends, anyone’s… there are so many aspects that make you connect yourself to this case, to this woman, and force you to look at the realities of what is that people have been taught to suffer in silence over for so long. And she didn’t even silence herself. She did put her trust in her household, in her health care team, in her circle… she was open about her problems, she tried to reach.. and that’s where it hurts.. that even then.. people are forced to see at face value what that can look like when everyone has to look back together and say… what went wrong here?..

I’ve had the outstanding privilege of helping 14 different families already! I couldn’t be more grateful for the acceptance of this type of help into this area! So many people don’t understand what the hype is, until they try it, and most are just absolutely so thankful once they give it a go! I do help a little less during the summer now that I want a little more dedicated time with the boys, and I already have a chunk of July/August reserved, but for those who might be interested in this wonderful resource this fall or would want to introduce it as a gift for a loved one, just send me a message and I’d love to answer any questions!

Summer is at our heels! As always, I would love to add any other events in the surrounding communities if I’ve missed any, but here’s a jump start to help make this break memorable for you and your family! Check back in a week or two for a gathering of picnics/festivals and vacation bible schools! Also a quick note that effingham usually does $1 movies for kids in the summer, they just haven’t posted the line up yet!

As a doula, I have witnessed the quiet courage of mothers in their most vulnerable and powerful moments. I’ve seen love begin before a first breath, resilience rise through exhaustion, and tenderness transform entire families.

Motherhood is not about perfection. It is about presence, sacrifice, intuition, and the endless capacity to nurture even when your own heart is tired.

Today, may you feel honored for all the invisible work you do, all the love you give, and all the ways you show up every single day. You are seen. You are valued. You are deeply appreciated.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who birth, mother, support, and love so fiercely. Your care changes the world.

There is a large pegboard wall in our hallway that we need remodeled! Paint and wallpaper just don’t cover it & it’s really eating at me.
I finally had an idea! Nothing seems more appropriate than having our locals put their work on display, sooooo

🎨✨ I am calling All Little Artists & Mamas! ✨🎨

At The Play Social, i believe happiness looks different through a child’s eyes 💛

I’m inviting all Effingham and surrounding areas all to paint a canvas that represents what happiness means to them! Whether it’s sunshine, tractors, unicorns, family, rainbows, or their favorite place to play—we want to see it all 🌈
Parents & caregivers, feel free to paint with them!
The canvas can be any size.
➡️Please be sure to include name and age on the painting so it is visible 🤍

🖌️ Once completed, you can drop off by the mailbox in our foyer at 201 west Jefferson, suite 4! I will check daily! Drops off will start April 27th until May 15th throughout week days between 8-5 pm.

These canvases will be proudly displayed in our hallway as part of a special community art wall!
