Today begins one of CCA's most immersive workshops: eight days of Marma Therapy training on campus.

Marma points are 107 energetic body points that allow access to the body, mind, and consciousness. During this program, students learn the history, classifications, theory, and precise locations of each point — then practice interacting with them through massage, essential oil application, and pranic healing.

This isn't a weekend introduction. It's 56 hours of clinical study — learning to work with the body's energy system at its most subtle level.

Specific protocols are taught for bringing healing to different organ systems. Students work in pairs throughout, giving and receiving treatments under faculty guidance.

Yoga Nidra, often called "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice that allows the body to rest deeply while the mind remains gently aware. This unique state of conscious relaxation can help reduce stress, calm the nervous system, support emotional well-being, and create space for personal transformation.

Join CCA's Bi-Monthly Yoga Nidra sessions and experience the power of intentional rest. Guided by experienced instructor Jess Hartley, each session offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, set meaningful intentions, and align with the restorative energy of the moon. No prior experience is required.

In Ayurveda, human health and environmental health are inseparable. When nature thrives, we thrive.

The health of our planet directly impacts the health of every living being. Clean air, fresh water, fertile soil and thriving ecosystems are essential for a sustainable future.

This World Environment Day, let's make conscious choices that help protect and restore the environment—because every action, no matter how small, makes a difference.

🌱 Protect what sustains us.
🌎 Restore what we've damaged.

In Ayurveda, the nasal passages are considered the direct gateway to the brain and the central nervous system
Nasya — the clinical practice of administering herbal medicines through the nose — is one of the five primary actions of Panchakarma, Ayurveda's classical system of detoxification and rejuvenation.
It's used by practitioners to address conditions affecting the head, sinuses, eyes, and mental clarity. And it requires precise clinical training to perform safely and effectively.
CCA's Clinical Nasya Treatment Workshop teaches this technique as a hands-on, guided clinical practice — not as a theoretical overview.

Heading into the weekend?

Here's one thing Ayurveda teaches about rest: it's not just the absence of work. Real restoration happens when you create space for your body and mind to reset with intention.

A few Ayurvedic approaches to a restful weekend: eat your largest meal at midday when digestion is strongest, spend time in nature during the cooler hours of the morning or evening, and let yourself slow down without guilt.

What does rest look like for you this weekend?

When Yoshiko Monson graduated from the California College of Ayurveda, she chose to follow a path rooted in purpose, healing, and service.

Today, she is one of many CCA graduates who have transformed their Ayurvedic education into meaningful work aligned with their dharma — supporting others through holistic wellness and authentic Ayurvedic practice.

The journey from student to practitioner is deeply personal and often transformative. But for those who dedicate themselves to the teachings, Ayurveda becomes more than a profession. It becomes a lifelong path of growth, balance, and contribution

Experience the healing art of Ayurvedic body therapies through immersive, hands-on clinical training

Abhyanga — traditional Ayurvedic massage — is more than a relaxation technique. In clinical Ayurveda, it is used to support detoxification, calm the nervous system, and prepare the body for deeper cleansing therapies.

At the California College of Ayurveda, the Ayurvedic Massage & Bliss Therapy program teaches Abhyanga alongside Shirodhara and Svedana in an intensive 5-day, on-campus training in Nevada City, California. This experiential training is one of the reasons CCA graduates are prepared to practice with confidence from day one.
