You can study Ayurveda in a textbook. But pulse diagnosis has to be felt.

During their in-person clinical intensive, interns at CCA learn to listen through their fingertips, practicing the subtle art of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis under the guidance of experienced faculty.

In Ayurveda, the pulse offers another window into the patterns of balance and imbalance within the body. Learning to recognize those patterns takes more than knowledge. It takes repetition, observation, sensitivity, and experience.

This is where study becomes clinical practice, and where our interns begin developing the skills they’ll carry into their work with clients. If you want to learn more about this traditional practice check the links in our bio.

In our herbal pharmacy, we prepare custom herbal formulas designed by CCA graduates and clinical interns for their Ayurvedic patients.

The pharmacy is rooted in tradition and modern wisdom. Every herb, preparation, and formula is approached with care and a deep respect for Ayurveda.

These are the same foundations that inspired AyBo, our new Ayurvedic herbal supplement brand.

AyBo grew out of CCA’s apothecary and decades of working directly with herbs. Every AyBo formula carries that history: an approach to herbalism shaped by individual constitution, whole plants, and years of practical experience.

Our hearts are with the people of Nepal.

Wednesday's glacial collapse in the Himalaya sent a wall of water and debris down the Lhende valley, taking hundreds of lives across the Nepal–Tibet border region. Many more are still missing. Whole communities are gone.

The Himalaya is not a distant place to those of us who practice Ayurveda. Our classical texts name those mountains as the source of the most potent healing plants on earth. The tradition we teach carries their name in it.

We hold the families who are grieving, the villages waiting for news, and the rescue workers still searching.

ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः। सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः।

Om sarve bhavantu sukhinaḥ, sarve santu nirāmayāḥ.
May all beings be at peace. May all be free from suffering.

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः

Is Ayurveda only for India?

In this thought-provoking message, Dr. Marc Halpern explains why Ayurveda is far more than a regional tradition.

Ayurveda predates the modern concept of nations and borders. It is a science rooted in the universal principles of nature—principles that apply to every human being, wherever they live.

Rather than belonging to one country, Ayurveda belongs wherever nature exists. By understanding nature, we better understand ourselves, our health, and our connection to the world around us.
