Our Independent residents enjoyed a wonderful day at the Topiary Park! The weather was beautiful, and everyone had a great time walking through the gardens and enjoying the fresh air. We were also joined by our fur friend, Sam the dog, who brought plenty of smiles, companionship, and joy to the group. It as a fun-filled day that created many happy memories for everyone involved.

⛳️🏆 Smith’s Mill Dad Putt-Putt Golf Classic was a huge success! 🏆⛳️

What an incredible day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories! Our dads, families, residents, and team members came together to enjoy a fun-filled round of putt-putt, celebrate fatherhood, and create meaningful connections.

From impressive hole-in-ones to plenty of smiles along the way, the event was a wonderful reminder that it’s not about the score—it’s about the moments shared together. 💚💛

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered on our golfers, helped with setup, and made this event possible. Seeing our residents and their loved ones enjoying quality time together is what it’s all about.

🌿🍉 A Perfect Summer Soirée at Smith Mill 🍋🎶
Guests enjoyed an elegant summer evening inspired by timeless picnic traditions, complete with red-and-white gingham accents, charming picnic baskets, vintage-style Coke bottles, and the warm glow of a beautiful summer sunset.
The evening's culinary experience began with a refreshing Watermelon & Feta Mint Salad Stack, a vibrant first course bursting with seasonal flavors. Our entrée featured Citrus Herb-Crusted Chicken infused with bright citrus notes, served alongside roasted bread pepper polenta and sautéed spinach for a delightful balance of comfort and sophistication.
To conclude the meal, guests savored a delightful Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Tart, while enjoying refreshments from our Arnold Palmer Beverage Bar, a classic summertime favorite.
Adding to the elegance of the evening was the enchanting harp music of Olivia Claggett, whose beautiful performance created a warm and memorable atmosphere.
One of the most touching moments of the evening came when a resident shared a special wish—to have one more dance with a dear friend. We were honored to invite that friend to join us, and together they shared a beautiful dance that brought smiles, joy, and heartfelt memories to everyone present. It was the perfect ending to a truly meaningful evening.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this Summer Soirée so special. From delicious food and beautiful music to cherished friendships and unforgettable moments, it was an evening that reminded us of the simple joys that make life so meaningful. ☀️🧺❤️

☕🌿 Dreams Do Come True 🌿☕

For years, Berhe’s favorite morning ritual was enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking beauty and peaceful nature surrounding the Hoover Dam. It was a simple joy he hadn’t experienced in many years—until now.

As part of our Live a Dream program, we helped bring that cherished memory back to life. But we didn’t stop there. ❤️

We surprised Berhe with a special date alongside his beloved wife, complete with his favorite meal from his favorite restaurant and a nature-inspired charcuterie spread designed to complement the beautiful surroundings. Together, they spent the day soaking in the sunshine, sharing conversation, reminiscing, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Sometimes the most meaningful dreams are the ones that reconnect us to the people, places, and moments we hold closest to our hearts.

Today was filled with laughter, love, nature, and treasured memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day possible.

💕✨ Live A Dream: Celebrating 53 Years of Love ✨💕

Tonight, we had the honor of helping Gary and Judy celebrate an incredible milestone—their 53rd Wedding Anniversary! ❤️

Surrounded by their grandson, his wife, and a cherished family friend, Gary and Judy enjoyed a special evening filled with laughter, love, and treasured memories as they reminisced about their wedding day and the beautiful life they have built together.

Their dream celebration featured a delicious surf and turf dinner, Manhattans and lemon drops just as requested, and a decadent crème brûlée cheesecake to sweeten the occasion. 🥂🍰

At Smith’s Mill, we believe life’s most meaningful moments deserve to be celebrated. It was a privilege to help create an evening honoring a love story that has spanned more than five decades.

What a wonderful day at our community! We were honored to host the New Albany Church of Resurrection at our campus following their Mass service.
Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch, and of course we couldnt let National Donut Day pass without serving plenty of donuts! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. We always cherish opportunities to connect with our local community and create meaningful moments together.
