Sacred Birthing Village-SouthCoast

Sacred Birthing Village-SouthCoast A maternal restoration sanctuary honoring birth as sacred. Our vision is a healthy community of mothers, fathers, and babies.

We revive ancestral birth wisdom, rebuild village-based care, and support mothers and families through their sacred rite of passage~Preconception, Pregnancy, Birth, & Postpartum. As a chapter-based project (Affiliated with Birthing Project USA), We are our sister’s keepers and understand it takes a village to mobilize change. We are women dedicated and committed to building sisterhood and standing

with and supporting the pregnant women in our community through their most sacred journey: childbirth. We are the underground conductors on the underground railroad to new life, helping to close the disparity gap to give BIPOC and other mothers, fathers/partners (passengers), and families a safe, healthy, and thriving passage through pregnancy and childbirth to have and raise a healthy baby.

Happy Mother’s Day?! Or should it be, Mother’s are you happy today? Yesterday? Are mamas really happy?

Like for real?!

Do you actually have the conditions around you to be happy today? Yesterday? Tomorrow? Forever? What about 7 generations from now?

Or are women out here carrying everybody on their backs while people throw flowers at us once a year and call it love?

I raged about this for a long time. And then I alchemized it.
Because that’s what mothers do.
We co-create. We turn pain into life. We keep weaving even when we’re tired. And at the detriment to our health and wellbeing and that of our children too. We got to talk for real about what we are carrying in our bodies.
What will you do with your Mother’s Day wilted and dead flowers? Don’t throw them away. Lets come make medicine with them.

“After the Flowers Die”. This gathering is for people ready to move past the fluff, the performance and past symbolic appreciation.

Because if mothers are drowning, isolated, unsupported, touched out, exhausted, overwhelmed, and doing everything alone… then something is broken in the ecosystem.

And if you got something for the ecosystem, come weave it in.

A meal. A ride. Childcare. A resource. A story. A skill. Money. Presence. Love. Accountability.

Come pour in.
Come pour out.
Come remember what village feels like.

Because next Mother’s Day, I want the conditions mothers actually need to already exist.
Not as a caption, a campaign. And Not as flowers that die.

But as real community. support. care. Real infrastructure around life.

We deserve that.
Our children deserve that.
7 generations deserve that.

Greetings! This is where community meets policy.
Our Founder & Village Keeper will be speaking at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Maternal Health Resource Webinar bringing forward what we know to be true:
Those of us closest to the pain are the ones carrying the solutions. Ready to be trusted, resourced, and sustained.
This is about how we resource, trust, and invest in community-based care, and how we make sure our people are not left navigating these systems alone.

If you’ve been watching, learning, feeling something shift…
this is your moment to step in.

🌱Register. Show up. Bring your questions.
🌱Share this with providers, organizers, and anyone connected to maternal health.
🌱Be part of shaping what care looks like in Massachusetts.

Greetings Community
We need to be in conversation about birth.
…because we are living this.
In Massachusetts, one of the “best” healthcare systems in the country…maternal complications are rising, C-sections are increasing, and Black women are still experiencing the highest risks.

And too much of it is preventable.

So we’re gathering.

Not “just” to watch a film but to be in circle, to reflect, to listen, to be with what’s real.

Your body holds everything.
Stress. Birth experiences. Tension. Transitions.
Even the things you haven’t had space to process yet.

This month, we’re focusing on the pelvic floor,
not just as anatomy, but as a sacred portal where so much is stored and felt.
If you’ve felt disconnected from your body…
been carrying more than you can name…
if you’ve never actually been taught how to understand or trust this part of yourself…this circle is for you.

Most of us were never taught this. Were you?

Come learn. Come reconnect. Come be supported.

Today we honor the lineage of those who have always held the doorway of life.
My Vovo, 92 year mature says, the word “midwife” came later, with the government.
Because long before that name, our communities had women who journeyed and then protected the threshold of birth.
Grandmothers. Aunties. Healers. Birthkeepers.

Women who carried the wisdom of life, held mothers with care, and helped welcome new souls into the village.

Today we honor those life protectors and threshold keepers who preserved this sacred work across generations.

At Sacred Birthing Village, we continue the work of remembering, restoring, and protecting the village around birth.

Happy & thriving International Day of the Midwife. Honoring all of us who heard and answered the calling. We are not alone.

✨ Remembering our sacred tools

Circle keeping. Witnessing. Honoring. Healing together.
Our trauma may be individual, but our healing is collective.
When we gather in circle, something powerful happens. The space itself begins to hold us. Stories are shared. Wisdom has permission to surface. What once felt heavy begins to soften.
Sacred Circle is a place where we remember the sacred tools that have always lived within us, tools for healing, for mothering, loving ourselves and our families more deeply.
In circle we refine and integrate them. We strengthen the muscle that reconnects us to our original divine blueprint.
And when we parent and love ourselves from that place, everything shifts.

Our children, Our families feel it. The ripples move beyond the sanctuary of our homes and into the world.

Come remember, Come sit in circle.
Come be the sacred tools we have always been. Just Be.
To thrive.
