This is my favorite grounding activity. I put my feet in the tub, run some warm water and open the window to let the beauty in.
Next, I apply a few drops of an essential oil to my feet. This oil is an old favorite of mine and was recently recommended to me at my Nervous System Reset, myrtle.
And there happens to be a myrtle tree right outside my window and as I relax, I’m noting it’s features.
It’s a work of art, truly. Here are some of the things I enjoy about my friend, the Myrtle tree.
Tall slender branches, always appears very ladylike.
Brightly colored flowers- I have pink, white and purple ones out there.
They look like rockets.
Each flower is tiny, delicate and soft.
But in a grouping they feel like power.
Each of the tiny flowers produces its own seeds, which are also visible works of art demanding to be admired.
The little flowers huddle together as friends.
They provide food for the bees.
The myrtle branches uplift and support the light green lichens.
Dark green leaves are small shiny, and are my current favorite color.
This plant shows off!
It fits amazingly well in a group.
It is also the star of the show individually.
Generous propagation potential.
It looks even more beautiful when it rains and is weighed down slightly, with each leaf dripping in turn.
It has a long flowering cycle, so is in bloom for months and months.
It makes me happy whenever I see it
Ok whew! Hug myrtle if you must, but I think I am officially grounded now. 😂
