On Memorial Day we head to Grand Trunk CrossFit to complete Murph, the workout.

This workout is more than miles, pull-ups, push-ups, and squats. It’s a reminder of the sacrifice made by the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

The only thing that gets you through the second mile, is the gratitude for the freedom to push our limits because of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I completed the workout as written without a vest. The kids did a shortened version and I was proud to watch them!

An orthodontists horror story is impacted canines and asymmetric growth. Here we solved both before they happened! ❤️

🧒🏼This kid had severe crowding and the adult canine teeth had nowhere to go! By expanding we were able to create more space and the canines found their way down.

🧒🏼Crossbite and asymmetric growth: Long story short, with a crossbite the lower jaw grows more on one side and the chin is not centered on the face.

🦷Summary: We normalized future growth and no teeth are trapped in the jaw! And all it took was an expander and a few braces on the top teeth!

This was me, walking out of South Lyon High on Wednesday with a big smile and full heart after doing mock Interviews with the seniors.
Takeaways:
1. Wow, this next generation is incredible! They really do it all!

2. Speaking with bright eyed kids as they begin their journey into adulthood is so special. I love hearing their story and their plans, encouraging them to be confident and believe in themselves, and I love sharing my story and being able to mentor them.

Overcoming obstacles is my weak spot. Share a comeback story, or perseverance and I’m done. ❤️

Expander, top braces and lower aligners!

We were able to correct the crossbite with an expander and braces on top, and lower clear aligners.

A beautiful before and after that will now allow for better growth of the jaws, chin and facial structures in general.

This is what a phase I/early intervention is about. Improving position of teeth to allow for better growth before it’s too late!

This week we had the honor of providing breakfast to 8 schools!

I could not have done this without my team!
CARRIE did a large portion of the school drop offs for us. She also worked out the logistics of the entire week!!
DEBBIE helped with drop offs as well!
MY HUSBAND did one of the Costco trips for me!
MY TEAM covered the office while we were in and out all week!
THE PTO PARENTS! They are the ones who organize the entire week of activities for our teachers and who made it possible for us to do this!

It was a team effort, and over the week we fed over 400 teachers and support staff! Costco did not see me coming!

Educators pour so much into our students every single day, and this was just a small way to say THANK YOU for all they do. Your impact reaches far beyond academics, and our communities are stronger because of you.
To all the teachers, administrators, and school staff: we appreciate you more than words can say. ❤️
